Just Wondering What Peoples Thoughts Are On Huebler Cues And Paul Huebler Himself I Find Hes A Joy To Talk And The Stories Are Great And You Never Know What Hes Going To Say

I bought a nice Huebler in a pawn shop back in the day when you could still get deals and sold it to a friend and every time I ran into him in the bar I would borrow it from him to shoot and I ended up regretting selling it to him, it played great!

I had a sneaky pete Huebler for many years that I broke with and shot with from time to time, it was a good cue and actually was the best break cue I've ever had although it wasn't designed as a break cue I could smash the rack with it.
 
A kid in a league I'm in has a nice older Huebler. It was his dad's cue and he didn't even know what it was because the lettering on the butt is a little hard to see. Multiple veneers in the points and windows in the butt, real classic looking cue. I don't know much about Hueblers but it is a real nice looking cue.

I talked to Paul last week I sent in an old Huebler to get refinished. Super nice guy, if you want him to do any work for you your best bet is to send him a letter via snail mail and then send the cue. He returned to sender my cue twice, because he forgot he had spoken with me on the phone. He says his "computer chip" isn't working like it used to. He seemed sharp as a tack the few times I spoke with him. IMHO Hueblers play great!

I heard Paul Huebler was not working with/for Callaway Golf? Any confirmation?

You may have him confused with Dick Helmstetter, who does work for Callaway.

Paul has been around forever, and always made nice playing cues. I think the quality of his cues has remained consistent over the years. I'd love to find an old Heubler in good shape.
 
I have owned about 4 hueblers. I LOVED every one of them.
I had one for about 3 years and that was my all time favorite cue until it got stolen out of my friends car. ( well his car got stolen, sooooo... :-(

I had a AS-H8. It was very nice hitting as well.

I have a Hustler I'll sell ya Jay. The shaft is warped though.:frown:

I sold Huebler cues from 1980 until about 1993. A great value for a production cue. I met Paul several times and always found him a joy to talk to.

The only problem I ever had with the Hueblers was the nylon insert in the shaft for the screw. It softened the hit a little, and sometimes it would cross-thread.

I had a Huebler "Heart" cue made for myself in about 1986 that had a 3/8" screw into wood. Great hitting cue, but unfortunately stolen a couple of years later.
 
Every Huebler I've ever hit with has been awesome. A very firm, solid hit. The older, the better IMO...cause I think they were metal sleeved shafts.
 
You may be right that Huebler made some metal sleeved shafts. All the ones I sold were nylon, and they all hit well.

I think Paul originally worked for Bob Meucci, and so his original cues might have been like the Meuccis with metal sleeves.
 
Huebler

I really like how Hueblers play, from really old ones to the more recent, they all seem to play nice. Mr. Huebler is very helpful and I really enjoy talking with him, about pool, or life in general, he has an interesting view.
