Huff cues-another victim

The postal service is one fantastic operation, IMO. About six years ago I sent a money order to a person for a beanie baby for my daughter. He kept the money as well as the other $10,000.00 or so he stole form other buyers in a two week period. At the time it was one of the first internet/postal fraud cases and it was very interesting to say the least. He was arrested and convicted spent time in jail and I did receive total compensation.
You will need to keep meticulous records, save all e-mails & receipts, all filings need to be done within the time frames specified. This is very important! My case spanned two years but I was pissed and was not going to let some lowlife jerk rip me off, so I made damn sure I followed the rules and the post office did there job. He was convicted and did time in Lake County Ill. Hope he enjoyed his stay!!
This is the reason I ONLY send postal money orders for all internet transactions, they are good as gold to give and receive..

Actually to recieve they are good as gold as long as they are good. There are many Postal money order counterfits. BE CAREFUL! I recommend cashing directly at your post office. Dont get me wrong I perfer them to other money order for tracking and you are dealing postal payment postal tracking. BUT YOU STILL WANT TO KNOW ITS LEGIT BEFORE YOU SHIP!

To tell you how bad postal money orders have got, my bank will NOT accept them AT ALL. They will take a 7-11 or whomever's money orders, but they flat out refuse to accept a postal money order. They won't even deposit it!

OK, I have an update and I need some advise.

Last night I receive this e-mail from david huff (dwcues1@charter.net)

"just checking to see if you got your cue or not. i have been out of town and had someone else who was working for me. he stole some cues and money from me and also had tried to use my name to open more ebay accounts. i am in the process of legal action on him. i need to find out what cues where sent and if not get them sent. also need to see if he stole any other payments from me that i am not aware of. please let me know when you sent payment and what method...check or money order??? let me know if cue was received or not. please help me get this straight and included your address so i can see if there were any items sent or not too. this will also help me to track down payment and such. if you have paid and never got cue then i will send the cue or a refund if cue is not available because of the theft. thanks for your help."


I replied back:

"I have turned the matter over to the Postal service. I should be receiving a photo copy of the signature used to cash the money order I sent very soon."



He sent me this reply:

"can you tell me when it was sent. and your shipping address. i did get some payments the day i was leaving and he was supposed to be shipping the cues. i need to see if yours was one of them that was sent or not. or if it was a payment that he forged my name to. thanks"


I think he knows that his butt is gettting close to some serious trouble and he's trying to scam his way out of it at the last minute. Someone else using his account, someone else receiving and signing MO's, yea right.......

I filed the complaint with the Post Office, but do I have to play along with this crap?

This is all bullshit and you need to stop replying to him and let the postal inspectors do there job,you are never going to see a penny or a cue out of this jerk.He is just trying to make it look like its not him again,I give him credit though,he can think of some pretty good stories!maybe he should write books. And the answer to your queston is no,you dont have to play along,but I would offer to come to his so called SHOP and straighten thing out the old fashion way,see what he says to that!

In my 35 years of Federal service, there is one thing that I learned for certain. You can pass AUTHORITY, but you can not pass RESPONSIBILITY.

Let's just say what he says is true. He authorized someone else to act as his agent and ship something for him. He, as a business owner (he must have a business license and federal tax ID) is still responsible for the actions that a person in his employ takes toward his customers. Having said that, based on what I have read in the past, I don't think everything jives.

As soon as he returned from his trip, he "suspected" that your shipment might not have been shipped. As soon as you indicated that you had turned this over to FEDERAL authorities, he said he "MIGHT" have signed for the money order prior to his leaving, but someone else was to complete the transaction.

This gentleman is on the verge of extremely SERIOUS federal intervention and legal action. Your primary concern right now, of course, is to either get your cue or your money back. He could show good faith and mitigate the future situation by making good on your purchase.
 
FWIW, the IP for huff cues resolved with 85% certainty to Cumberland Md., Not Virginia.

FWIW I see Mr.Huff about twice a month (at pool tornaments) in sw va and can say with 99.9% certainty that there is no shop,helper,or business liscense and lives about 20 minutes from roanoke va.This I would bet one million dollars on!

and by the way these couple of deals were sold about the first 2 weeks of december....so its not like it has been an on going thing as you want it to sound like!!! cuedoctor...you had been signing emails as charlie BUT i think now i know who you are...LOU!!! i dont know what you major problem is but it can be solved>>>>>im not hard to find....just ask how to get to my place in ferrum. you of all people i thought was okay. i never thought you would attack someone without really knowing the whole deal!!! guess i was wrong!!
 
This is priceless. Another week -- another huffcues victim, and another lame huffcues excuse. Funny how every single deal huffcues touches turns to "lost in the mail" or "someone stole from me". None of the victims ever reported getting a refund.

You're right huffcues, we probably don't know "the whole deal". My guess is you've scammed many, many more people than we are aware of.

By the way, cuedoctor is a stand up guy.

shinobi it really doesnt matter what you want to think. we have never done any business. you act like all i have ever done is scammed someone which is total BS!!! check all the posts or whatever you want...i have had no one accuse me of scamming them until the last couple weeks!! their are 2 buyers on here and these buyers were contacted to let them know what was going on. if they do not post on here that they got their cues or refunds thats not my fault. thast the problem...people want to jump on here and make false accusations on someone but then they dont want to come back and admit they jumped to conclusions or were WRONG!!! then it makes them look less reliable and people will not listen to their raves!! thats why i guess they dont want to do it. as far as the 2 on here 1 guy form canada i have never got any payment from!!! in fact he emailed me today telling me that the postal service says it was never cashed!!! i will post a copy of it here also!! SO WHAT am i supposed to go ahead and send this guy a cue that i have got no payment for??? WOULD YOU??? NO!! of course not!! the other buyer was emailed and i told him that if i found out payment was received his cue or a refund would be sent!! IT WAS $36!! IF someone was going to scam someone i think i would do it for alot more than 36 bucks!!! i got into the same mess like u a while earlier when i was tryin to sell my Bert Titlist. As what ribdoner says defending urself here is pretty futile... i understand that when ppl hurl abuse at u, over things u never done but is trying to correct though can be very very hurting..but we bite out lips, and move on and u will feel better once u got everything sorted. i believe that ultimately we are only accountable to ourselfs for our actions.
i went thru my ebay acc and i think i bought a brunswick conversion from someone in ebay b4 he is called Tom Huff, are u guys related?
Anyway hope everything clear up, and have a good year ahead.
