What is "rubberize" in this context? Always looking to expand my vocabulary.
I watched for awhile and finally had to give up.
GO was constantly down and up and then down and up and down and up again on every shot AND THEN rubberize it. Wore me out.

Well GO can take long as he wants , it's his shot and he is playing a champion ... I'm wondering if you and I play some One Pocket how long it would take you to shoot !!!!???!!!??? I'm off work for the winter and like playing strangers . Especially good players like yourself that know all the shots and shoot fast / know what to do in tough situations playing One Pocket ! Must be nice ! Anyway , I gotta go practice so I know all the shots !

I don't know, but presume by "rubberize" he just means miss the pocket, hit the rail; i.e., the rubber. Never heard the term, maybe it's novel - but I kinda like it.You got the wrong guy here, Gypsy....Gideon was asking what "rubberize" meant...
...Lou introduced the term "rubberize"...and I would like to know, also.
8 days 10 hours each= 80
Pot 10k with 50/50 split = 5k
5000/80=62.5 an hour!
A lot of work for very little return.

That '08 match was epic. Tony was ahead after day1 but Gabe came back and schooled his a^* on day2. Gabe's methodical, tactical game got Tony out of his normal super offensive set. Good to see him playing again.I like how this is "Gabe's shot" at playing a champion. I understand that Gabe was out of pool for a few years but I would wager that he has more big tournament wins than his opponent in this match. I have massive respect for them both as they have displayed a lot of heart and persistence.
I remember when Gabe played Tony a race to 25 for 10k in 2008 and many thought Tony was stealing. It was a beautiful thing getting 2 to 1 on the money betting on Gabe.:thumbup::thumbup:
Thanks to all involved in this production (stake horses, players, Big Truck, Terry...) Great value here for those who enjoy one pocket at a very high level.

I'm kinda surprised. I thought that term was relatively common.

Means he would hit a cushion v pocketing the ball.

Once again I'll say this match is one of the greatest action matches of all time. Danny smith is a warrior and is extremely well suited for a match of this caliber especially as far as the length. As for Gabe Owen he's a former US Open 9 ball champion n made over 250,000$ in documented azb tournament winnings between 04-08 which just gives an idea of how strong he was playing at the time and also how strong he can potentially play if he gets back in top form. If heard many times over the last few years people wishing Gabe would get back into pool full force especially one pocket because he was one of the best.
Lastly I really hope big truck can find a way to rent this match in its entirety after completion because I truly would LOVE to sit down and watch this match from game one to the last ball is pocketed. I think the term "epic" is wildly overused but if ever it was needed to describe a pool match this is that time. EPIC!!!
