"I know. He look like a pedophile don't he?"
Stevie Moore - after someone remarked that Hunter Lombardo was growing his hair out.
Not trying to dog Hunter in any way. Just had to throw this in since it was one of the funniest quotes I've heard from a pool player.
I watched Hunter play a couple of years ago at the DCC. He was down by a good margin to Cary Dunn, but he held it together nicely and rallied for the win. Seemed like a nice guy and a real solid player.

Well, there goes my 'moneyed' theory...so far.I've known Hunter for over ten years. He is the most sincere and passionate player I know. The whole time I've known him he has constantly been seeking knowledge and improvement. He drains me every time we're together.
Hunter is my "poster child" for beautiful, simple form. He teaches with me when I give my 3-day Intensives in Florida.
As Jay suggested, it would be hard to find a better sponsorship candidate. Handsome, smart, well-dressed, funny, beautiful form, sincere, excellent player/instructor/commentator, doesn't drink or do drugs - a winner on the way up.
And no, he's not from money. He's living his dream the classic way - on heart.

No offense, but why is it our job to make sure Hunter makes enough money to support himself? If he can afford it than God Bless him and it isn't our place to question his ability to do so.
I know Hunter and I have never asked him where he gets his money, because frankly it's none of my business.
Please let's stop counting other people's money. It is a very rude thing to do IMHO.
I heard a rumor that Hunter stiffed someone at grovers for $500 last week, anyone else hear that?
