I am deleting threads here

What annoys me is that the self-appointed 'mods' contribute to the bumping issue every time they point out that someone else is breaking the rules. It is not necessary, as a simple click on the red exclamation point button allows anyone to report forum rules violations...and no one need ever know it is doing the reporting. It almost seems like these members are looking for the attention they garner from playing 'mod'.

Yes, there was a time when I used to point out rules violations...but it was not a constant, and only when it was a blatant violation. I didn't live to be a forum 'mod', as it appears some others here do.,,,it's a thankless job, at best. Now, if I see a blatant violation, I simply report it in the manner in which I just described...and yes, even those self-appointed forum 'mods' are gonna get reported for violating the same said rules as they are cracking on others for, because the rules should apply equally across the board.

Don't like it.....don't do it. Easy peasy.

Ding, ding, ding...we have a winner!! There's no need to red rep someone for it either. On occasion, I've sent a polite PM to a newcomer to point out that we have rules. It's just as easy as posting in the thread. I promise!

All you do is talk. Care to show where and when I broke rules?
And please do not direct to this post here.
All my posts are bumped in 48 hours or even later.
SO, stop talking and post some links.

You break the rules every time you post in an active W/FS thread to point out that someone else is breaking the rules. Why that simple fact eludes you boggles the mind.

Agree. I stopped doing it as well.
But here is another issue that mods can not address.
I spoke to Wilson about it, I spoke to AZ House pro - no resolution.
When hit that red button, mods get no report for some reason. It has been tested already. First Mr. Wilson told me that something is wrong with my PC, then we tried to submit a report on my friend's computer. Same result. Then we even went to a third guy who lives about 40 minutes away. Same results.
Now, how many of you actually checked if hitting red "report post" button really works?
That is why at some point I started posting, then I started sending PMs with links. That seemed to work for a while....

I have done similar as well....especially if they are new or not a prolific seller.

The exclamation point button does not red rep anyone, it allows for the reporting directly to the mods any spam, harassment, or rules violation...and no one need ever know who it was.

I understand that. Kot is the only one to red rep me and has done it twice now including today. He seems to think of it as a convenient tool for name calling as well. He's a gem! I especially enjoy how much time and effort he put into testing the report button. If it doesn't work, send a PM to a moderator. How hard is that?
Unlike some people here, I DON"T want to be a mod when I grow up.

You mean like Dean just did in the Callaluca thread? Nice guy, but breaking the rules! Ok, carry on I'm outty!

Let me help you. You have broken the 48 hour rule in almost every for sale thread you have started from the ones I have checked since November.

I laugh at your foolishness. Just look at dates in every single post I made.
Or are you going to be counting minutes on those posts?
You are nothing more but a "Bin counter" then.
You know very well that I do not break bumping rules and yet, you are still trying to tell me something.
You sound just like that guy who tried to tell people that after original post it is ok to bump next day because that would be only first bump. IDIOTIC APPROACH!
You are trying to say the same thing here.
And I will say that again - I LAUGH AT YOUR FOOLISHNESS!!!

You are an idiot. 48 hours is 48 hrs. Not 47 hours. Not 47 hours and 12 minutes. You angle shoot just like many on here do. Get over yourself.

Nice approach with the big bold font.

P.S. Thanks for the red rep. Red is one on my favorite colors, right behind blue.

It's just not the date...but time as well.

Eg. http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=352962

You posted your thread on 02-18-2014, 09:54 PM
2nd post you made was on 02-20-2014, 02:12 PM

So technically you broken the 48 hrs rule but I'm sure the Mod are easy on something like this.

Pretty simple.

I've learned that if you RedRep someone for good reason all that happens is they RedRep you back for NO reason. So what good is it?

We can debate all we want about the rules on here but fact of the matter is market hasn't recovered and no one has cash to spend on Pool like they did 3-4 years ago. You can make the wanted/for sales better..but its not going to make you sell anything faster at the end of the day.

Bumping everyday won't help and honestly at the end of the day it properly doesn't even matter. You used to have lurkers/buyers constantly on AZ looking for deals and there are some but lately...its just been dead. Maybe the wanted/for sales section did too good of a job in educating buyers that now it priced itself out of the market.

It doesn't take a genius to see that most of the items for sales are price at higher bracket mostly because that's how AZ mentality have been shaped. All the buying/selling on here is mostly behind the scene anyhow...you price your item at top dollars for trading....and if you get someone serious...they'll make an offer that they think is fair and you'll go from there.

The buyers/sellers on AZ have shrink over the years along with the number of items for sales so that say a lot about the sales effectiveness of the forum. Most sellers here probably find more success selling their items locally and I would say now even on Ebay.

None the less, the magic with AZ FS/Wanted, is that you'll never know what will be posted....same goes with ebay.

Can't wait to head down SBE to see if there are any good deal this year.

If you really want to clean this place up you have to treat everyone the same way with the same rules.

That being said give people 1 warning for first offense. 1 week temp ban for 2nd offense, 1 month temp ban for 3rd offense and so forth (obviously length can be different, but just as an example).

This is for any and all members that break the rules, no leniency even on knew members. A PM will be sent to the new member (or regular member) telling them the infraction and linking them to the rules sticky. Within this sticky make sure to note the 48 hour rule does not mean 47 hours, 53 minutes etc...If a person has a question about the sale, send a PM, simple enough. The only post from other members allowed will be a post confirming they are buying the item.

Here is the main point below that will help with the bumps....

People posting in other peoples threads (nice cue, worth more etc) which happens a ton around here need to be warned/temp banned as well. If you get rid of this and people breaking rules of bumping your own threads, the place will run smoother. Finally...it may sound harsh but warn the people who post telling them that they are breaking the rules. That is what the report button is for and the information about it will be included in the sticky. These people will also get a warning even though they are trying to "help" advise the seller they are breaking the rule, but are breaking the rule themselves.

Edit to add: If someone is interested in trading or has questions about the item, to send a PM or an infraction occurs....no posts in the for sale thread are allowed outside of the 48 hour bump, or a post confirming they are buying the item.

I believe this has been mentioned already but just make it so the OP is the only one who can post in they're own thread. And if anyone has questions they'll have to PM the OP.
That way theirs only the OP to blame for early bumping.

This would prevent someone from posting saying they will buy it. If you say they need to PM to buy, that may not be fair and could cause issues with multiple people trying to send a PM to buy...sure you could go with time stamps...but on a hot item for sale that will go quick, it is really easy when someone is allowed to do a simple, quick post that says:

I'll take it
