Thanks for the intro, and Welcome!
On a serious note, since you fly freight planes, how can we get the
no-cues-on-board rule changed? Many have cues (much more valuable than my own) which they don't want ground through the baggage system, and/or then stolen.
Any suggestions?

Yeah, I get this question from people alot. Look, don't quote me on this; I don't really feel like this post biting me later.
I can't help you at all when it comes to trying to get your cue on a passenger flight. That's not my gig. What I do know about passenger flights is they will probably not allow cues simply because they could be used as a weapon or could hide a serious weapon.
As for possibly sending your cue ahead via ups, dhl, fedex? Hmm.
Okay, here is what I would do. I'd send it via the company that rhymes with bell. The only reason for this is that from what I've seen their ramprats, er, I mean ramp people, are slightly slower than either of the other two companies. They are required to digitally weigh each item immediately before it goes aboard the aircraft. Also **L does not load their freight as high. This means less weight on your stuff.
Finally, if you're going to send it by ANY company, pack it in ALOT of bubble wrap. Accidents happen. And ramp rats can't read. At least they can't read the word "fragile." Basically, if it can be thrown, it probably will be. And not every throw is followed by a catch. Sometimes it's deflected.
Or you could get one of those aluminum pool cue cases I just saw the other day on the web. Don't remember the name of the company. I think zero something. No idea what they cost but was made of aluminum and had a lock on it. Supposedly held 2 or 3 cues and shafts.
Remember, The number of times a package is thrown is reduced by at least two with the company that rhymes with bell because of the weighing thing.
Now if you do send it freight there is much less worry about it being stolen as every item is checked at least four times from the time it gets the airport to the time it leaves. I know this because if one turns up missing for any reason I end up crawling around the plane looking for it.
Anyway, hope that helped a little.
