I can't use a linen wrap - looking for advice

I have an issue with the fingertips on my grip hand. I'd like to either sell my cues that have a wrap or convert to a different wrap. The linen acts like fine sandpaper on my fingers.

What would be a better option for a wrap and is it possible to install a different wrap that won't increase diameter of the cue?

Do you have a cue maker in your area? They can replace it with leather or cork or whatever works for you. Shouldn't be over $250 for a refinish and rewrap.

You can have it pressed and waxed also
 
I rub Renaissance wax liberally into the linen and then I run a Pilsner glass back and forth while pressing down on it. You want to use a Pilsner glass with an exaggerated waist. These work best. The result makes the linen almost feel like rubber and has an awesome grip. Depending on how much wax you use you might have to go through the process twice. I like to keep my cues original which is the reason I don't have the wraps replaced with leather.

Doesn't the wax get on your hands and transfer to the balls and table?

That's correct, I'm not a cue maker. I was not aware of the rule regarding pricing.

I had a cue refinished about a year ago, and to the best of my recollection it was around $250 for a refinish and replace the worn linen wrap with a new one. With that huge sample size of one, I was able to ascertain the typical cost for a refinish/rewrap. :)

So, I have no idea what the typical fee range could be for that sort of service. Was just trying to be helpful.

A quick and easy fix would be to try a rubber sleeve over the wrap. Some are very thin and won't add much weight or diameter to the cue. Inexpensive solution easy to install and remove.

You could also have a cuemaker lightly sand your wrap and apply a finish over it.

Ming think about a Cork Wrap to replace Linen, or work hand with rubber rehab ball to rebuild grip.
 
If you look at my linen wrap, I've rubbed allot of paraffin into it. The excessive amount adds a nice tackiness to it.

I will grab/hold/twist it, warm it with my hand and that will recreate the tack I want.

hmm cotton or silk if you are thinking about her panties it won't help and the wrap texture won't matter lmfao get your head out of her crotch and play pool
