I guess Martino Cues is getting out of collecting.

Wow! I'm really surprised to see this. He has spent years building this collection.

I hope all is well with Tony.

Cues

They've spent years putting together these theme collections - looks like they're all for sale. What a collection!

All,

Tony Martino is doing estate planning, which is driving this action. He is doing fine. This is specifically NOT something being done because he needs money. Those of you that know Tony, know this is very true.

He is a good friend of mine, and he is planning to come to the ICCS show in Santa Fe later this week, likely bringing a lot of cues.

....And Lord knows, he has some good ones!

Chris, thanks for posting the link!

The Martino Collection

I offer my best wishes and prayers to Tony and his family for their well-being, and to the success of the sale of his excellent, and most exquisite, collection of fine custom cues. May God bless you and keep you in His care, Paul Del Giudice, PVD1@cox.net.

What if any effect will it have on the high end market as a whole with this many cues hitting the market at once?

Will the collections stay together or be parted out?

Lastly I just want to say that that the three handle collection is amazing along with the Tuxedo collection and the Madeira Collection and the.......you get the point.

Hope these find a good home and thanks to the Martino's for putting the collections together and making them available for us to see.

good question! depends on the maker.
since he isnt offering any szam's or bushka's, it's not going to have much effect on those markets.
would think he'd have to break up some of the theme's to have a chance to move that many cues in the near future.
attending the show will give him a good idea.
but these cues are in the high end, where things are already real slow!

Thanks for pointing that out, Will. I don't know Tony, but I've communicated with him about some cues. I was actually a little concerned that it might be a health issue - using the term "estate planning" kind of threw me - you know what I mean, I'm sure.

Anyway, I'm sure Tony will do fine - there are sure a lot of really great cues in his collection and I'm sure some will be very good deals too.

Don't recall ever seeing this thread before today. Thanks for your concerns.

Yes, I'm still on this side of the grass and life is good. Hope all is well with all my friends in the cue community.

Flunked retirement - again - and bought a tool shop that makes plastic and rubbermolds. A log of CNC machining and no, I'll not be making cues.

Again, thanks for your thoughts and concerns. Tony
