well ive been wanting to tell you guys about my new deal with ob1 cues.at first i admit i was scared to play with something that deflected differently than my hunter cue.well after three days im doing things with this cue that frankly i cannot believe.they deflect just like predetors but with much more power and a softer more solid hit. also i can avoid collisions that were impossible to avoid before due to the spin of my old cue, im sick that i waited this long to try this shaft i was just stubborn and figured they could not help my game.also they are an american company,they make a superior product and they sell it for a great price.go to the ob1 website if you would like to learn about them and just tell them i sent you if you call ob1.get one you will not be sorry i assure you of that.

I love my OB-1 for the same reasons. I was an early adopter though.

John, should I assume this has something to do with the sponsorship possibility you mentioned a few days ago? I also like OB-1 shafts and I really like the people (Royce and Don) behind them. Good luck with your new equipment.

I switched from a 314 to an OB-1 over a year ago and love mine too! As you said, the performance (deflection wise) is the same but the feel from the OB-1 is much better IMO.

Congrats John Schmidt and OB-1! That's great to hear that you have teamed up with them. I've been curious for a while to try one.

Are you using the standard taper/diameter that they offer, or something modified? Just curious.
 
I've been a Predator user for years........perhaps I'll have to give that OB1 a shot when my new cue is done.

I have to agree. I was using the 314 shaft for about 4-5 years. I switched to OB1 about a year ago and haven't looked back since. Very high quality shaft.
 
I have never cared with what I have been playing with, it could be the original shaft on my Prather Cue, a 314, 314-2, Z, Z-2, or a cue I borrowed from someone else, or a housecue. I didn't care, and couldn't feel that much difference...

Till I changed to OB-1 a month ago. It's just perfect.

(I still doesn't care what weight on the cue or what tip I play with, so guess I am still waiting to find the perfect thing for me there) :D

i heard so much about the black dot bullseye shaft from meucci, I was curious if "OB-1 vs Black dot shaft" anyone experienced this?
