I made a thread along time ago about making a spot shot without hitting the rail, after the thread started I tried it and on my first attempt I did it with 4 and 3/4 balls didtance from the foot rail, Jay Helfert witnessed it, i was suprised but it was on old 860 on a big pocket table, since then I have been playing around with it and....the first one was pure luck, but good luck.
The other night on 1 hour old 860 on a GC5 with 4.25" pockets(my friends new table...nice) I shot it and on the first try I was 3 and 3/4th balls from the rail, I missed the next few etc. my second best was about 2.5 balls. Seems like I awalys do my best on the first try, LOL. then I fall apart when I think about it.
I was really suprised even on the real good one the ball never skidded I just hit the ball real fat on the new cloth the table was so tight I couldnt hit it real fat, I used a half of tip of inside or a bit less center ball, the spin dies off and the CB is just rolling when it hits the spotted ball, wow it looks so cool when it works, kinda Efren like...I watched him last week,,,,never in my life have I seen anyone like him play-nobody is close he is magic. WOW
