I agree somewhat...the Predator shaft levels things out a lot, but the butt and joint affect the hit, also. The balance, taper, type joint, type of wrap (or lack of it), whether full splice or not, as well as the shaft determine the hit and, another important factor, feedback from the cue....IMHO.

yes that's right. the joint type, forearm wood type, forearm construction and material used, wether it be spliced v-groove or floating and how the it's attached to the handle play a big role in the hit of a cue. there isn't any one way that makes the hit better. a great hit can be done with any of these methods. great makers know what to adjust and where in different methods to achieve the hit they desire.
