I need help, great cue though.

I didn't get to watch it, but I can say that I think I know how you feel.

I think I must play better than the top pros, coz when I get out it looks TOUGH!!!

This reminds me of those posts ive seen with skinny *****es that take selfies and post "I'm so fat" You're fishing...

I'll bite. I'll agree it was nice you happened to drop all the balls in that take, but your stroke leaves a lot to be desired. You should concentrate on the basics before trying to progress.

For Pete's sake, tuck in that freaking corner pocket shield....Geeeesh...

Just kidding, I have a Connelly as well (see picture below and the link in my signature for the work to bring it back to life) and mine pop-out from time to time too. I find when wearing certain shorts or sweat pants the loose pant pockets like to catch on the pocket shields and pull them out. I'm slightly OCD with my equipment, so it irritates me to no end. I see your not a break cloth fan either. LOL...

Nice shooting and good out, especially on that 10 ball cross corner shot. Also, one fine looking cue there bud. I noticed a few things, but I am not an instructor nor going to pretend that I am one. My game has a lot of issues as well, so don't feel like your the only one. Video is a great tool.

Keep up with the video of your game and archive it if possible. Nice to have those archives to go back and re-evaluate to see if a certain issue your working on is a new thing or dates back a bit.

I have a two camera set-up with the cameras mounted on the ceiling (see still below for example. My cameras are not aimed in the ideal angles, but I use it for pattern evaluation mostly etc). I also have a third camera on a tripod for capturing down the line or behind me for stroke analysis. Knowing I have an issue is the easy part, eliminating it is the hard part.

Nice setup you have going on over there, I'm sure it gets a lot of use. If you'd ask my wife though, she would say I spend to much time on mine, until I bring up that nasty shopping habit of hers as I walk back to my poolroom. It's a wash & repeat pattern we've developed.

I am on ye olde phone, vid froze too often for me to suffer thru. More than a minute of it, but throw the man a bone...

What in particular to you think needs fixing? As I specifically, not just ' the stroke'.

I think he needs to flatten out a bit, straighten out that left arm and all, but I bend mine too, even knowing it.

And that warent no fat chick either!

Thank you everyone, I guess I need a better stroke, and a longer skirt, or a bigger purse.

Don't get discouraged by others negativity. This is your journey to be the best your capable of at the game. No excuses now, you have the set-up to get there. I'm on my own journey as well. Some days are better than others, it's just the nature of the beast.

I like evaluating others game play videos, it helps me to identify things from my own videos and game play as well. I think what RussPrince was kind of trying to say was ( then again maybe not ), is he wasn't sure what your motives were for posting video of a single run-out rack. Something more than likely most all here should be able to do quite frequently.

I believe I know what your motives were ( I think ), but I can also see how others may have interpreted as "hey look how awesome I am". That type of "Hey, look at me" bravado doesn't usually go well around here. Had your video been an eleven rack run-out without a missed shot, then the "hey look at me" video has a better chance of success, but no guarantee there either. Someone will still be mean spirited even if it was a thirty two rack run-out.

So in closing here, I say keep working towards making as many of your racks a run-out rack. Consistency is the key element to pool greatness!

Just Kidding

I wasn't being negative just having a little fun! You ran a nice rack and it takes even more balls to post a video on AZ! Good luck with your game and thanks for being a good sport!

Rod,

There were several shots where you could have used English to easily get in line but you shot center ball and the cue ball went the wrong direction.

You're shooting seems to be pretty straight. I would work on three ball and four ball patterns and creative English shots (inside especially) to get to the next level.

I realize you were posting this to show how tough an out can get - but I noticed a couple of shots where I would have used a little English to avoid trouble and get position.

For example, on the 1 ball the better play would have been a rail first shot with left English to come back to the center of the table. On the 2 ball, a slightly thinner cut with a half tip of right could have sent the cue ball straight down and back up with no collision. On the 8 ball, again, a thinner cut with a little right English would have put you on the 10.

You'd have a better stroke if you put your purse down.
I kid..I kid. Nice cut on the one to the nine.

Thank you guys, I'll take all the help I can get, this was a tough break from the start, and the battle was all up hill from there. I love the game and would like to stop the train wreck racks.

Well thank you sir. Believe me, I spend as much time in that room as possible.

Haha.. Wouldn't we all. Even the top 10 in the world still have disaster racks. It's how you recover and regroup afterwards that makes the real difference. Don't give up and don't stop asking questions. The journey is NEVER over and the learning NEVER ends!
