I need help with a Meucci Original

Hope you get an answer from them, just a side note I have seen a couple of Gambler cues with 4 aces.
If they don't answer let me know as I may ask a friend that has a direct contact with Bob Meucci.

That would be awesome, I contacted them before but never got a reply. That was a few yrs ago. I'll keep you posted on what I find out..

Jim do you have a Mucci?
Yes. I have a old black band sneaky and a HOF 3.

I found two sneaky Pete cues in Glenwood springs a few years ago at a second hand store. A old Huebler and the Meucci, both were in great shape and both for $10.

The HOF 3 has stayed straight and is one of their designs that a really like.

No I meant do you have a Mucci?

The 1970's bullet type bumper was no longer available and the press in type bumper was selected as a replacement for future production of their custom cues.
These Meucci originals cues were produced from 1970 to 1984. Meucci discontinued that logo and started using a cursive logo 'Meucci', after 1984.
The idea of a personal hand-me-down cue is a very good incentive for someone else to hang onto it for a very long time.
With this in mind, there is no need to postulate a value for the cue.
Thank you so much... it will definitely stay in the Family..

I have one just like it with 4 spades, but to me this cue is simply a Meucci Originals MO-10 "No Dice" Gambler. It has the chain instead of the dice and is far more rare and worth more than one with the dice. And I agree with a previous comment about the 4 queens - It was likely a custom order from Meucci. The 4 queens is a 2 edged sword. On one hand it seems very rare, maybe even a 1 off which will make it more valuable. On the other hand most guys want the 4 spades version. I would think the former trumps the latter making the 4 queens worth more not less, but you just won't know unless you sell it some day.
Here's a few shots of my Originals MO-10 "No Dice." . I do love the birds eye maple on this one. I own a half dozen Originals cues and this one has the best maplewood by far=>

Great pics...that has to be one of the nicest Meucci theme cues I've seen in some time. I play with a SE VI no dot shaft...perfect.

The more I look at you picture it leads me to believe it's from around 1980-1988 and may have been a special order.
If you have owned it since new, then it may have been a promo for dealers showcase or a special order that got canceled.
After consideration I do think the bumper on it is era correct.
I have two Meucci Originals that I bought in '88/'89 and can confirm the bumpers on my cues are the same.

Yeah I can't stand the new "low deflection" shafts like The Pro shaft Meucci is putting out on all new sticks. I believe in the low def concept but I was not able to make the transition, these newer shafts change everything. I play with a red dot and a no dot. Just love em'. The one he's asking about here is a no dot - great shaft, and that squares with the time of manufacture.

I just checked; the 1984 series had that bumper on them.

Maybe a couple special ordered 2 Meucci's, one all kings other queens.
Last month one of our league players brought in his reverse twin Meucci's.
Colors were reversed on each cue. But alas... $3800 for the pair is too rich for me.
But if they both 'HIT' the way I want, I'd ask if he'd take payments.

.

Seems strange to me the admiration of the early cues and not the latest 2022 cues.

Is it nostalgia or what?

I totally get that this particular cue could be special, but beyond that???

My 3rd cue was a Muecci. Still have it and handed Bob my money in 1975?? Burlington, IA

Just curious.

Why

Because most of the cues they've made in the last 25yrs are junk. Other than inlays popping and warpage they're great. You can buy a Mezz for 5-600bux that is LIGHT YEARS better than any Meucci.
