I paid $2500 southwest cue that is warped !

???

Wow witht a reply like that from verwirre why would someone who thinks like this be allowed to linger around waiting for another fellow azer to fleece. It seems to me that the people in charge of this site should be looking out for us and ban this guy despite past good deals
remember your only as good as your last deal......just my 3 cents

I don't think banning is the right way to go. Because what happens is that they just start another account.

I think that there should be a "bad deal" thread started and people should be placed there when a deal goes bad without resolution. Then the only way to get off it would be to resolve the issue.

I think that this thread should be a sticky in the WFS section and that everyone on the site should get a grace period of say a month to clear up their outstanding disputes or otherwise unknown customer service issues (thinking of myself here) before they get put on the list.

That way there is a permanent record of the deals gone bad and who did them. The site really doesn't want to get involved in these things. To do so brings with it a responsibility and liability that they don't want.

And finally, escrow, escrow, escrow. The few more days and little extra hassle is worth it to get peace of mind. Having a qualified person in between can't ever hurt.

Verwirre replied and this is what he said;

Yes I know it, you re the one who doesnt know the wobble that almost in every SW cues, and you blame it on me. Idc what ppl think, if I can't sell any cue here, its ok with me. Let's see the next time I sell anything here, I'm sure it can sell. I have many friends who respect me here, I suggest you just buy mass production cue and live with it

Well that was his reply

Not that I would buy a cue from Indonesia

But def not from that dude

You suck

3k cue

Every freakin wobble should be disclosed

I've had one deal, if you want to call it that
with Wilson. He sent me a deposit for a cue, and then
promptly asked for his deposit back about a week later.
That being said, I thought I would send him a PM and
let him know I thought he should give the guy his money
back. His comment to me was that he couldn't give
the guy his money back. I assumed that to mean he
had already spent the money. Also, he is of the
opinion that this guy should have known that
"all South West cues" have a wobble and because
this guy has only dealt in "production cues" it's not
his fault this guy isn't happy. I told him I would lose
all respect for him if he didn't give the guy his money
back, and to that he said, no big deal. He wasn't too
worried about my opinion of him.

Money can be a Motherf--ker!From his response he knew full well
that there was an issue with the cue.It wasn't till others chimed in
about the infamous SW ''taper roll" when he thought,''shit thats the
bandwagon I'm jumping on''.
At the end of the day,if the guy gets banned, buddy is still out $2500.
The lack of regard is what totally pisses me off.Show some damn spine
and do something for the man!!!

Good idea.....

Best idea on AZ that I've read. There definitely should be a listing of the bad deals that have been on AZ. I must've read at least a half dozen or so bad deals in the last month to convince me that either I buy from a cue maker and wait or use escrow with people that don't have a satisfaction guarantee policy. Really incredible some of the stuff that's been going on lately on AZ. Maybe not so surprising with the crappy economy though....

I see that this is somewhat unfair that he said it is straight but it arrived warped but I think it will straighten itself out, I have seen it before, it's like the wood is still ALIVE! But really though, swap my cue with a rattle snake and I'll still run out, what's wrong with a little roll?

It just doesn't tell you much.

A handle can be warped or twisted and the cue rolls flat. A cue can be perfectly straight and roll with a wobble.

If you're a cue maker, you should know how to properly check a cue for warp and misalignment.

I check each piece of a cue for strightness, then I check for alignment. If anything is off not only do I know it, I know where and by how much, plus I know the cause.

I totally disagree........ I have never seen a butt that was warped that would roll flat.

If both the shaft and the butt are perfectly straight and the cue rolls with a wobble, it usually is the joint facing.

I do know how to properly check a cue for warp and misalignment and after I do .........I check all of mine my rolling them on the table.

Again.......... they all roll straight or they don't leave my shop. If they don't roll straight.......... it's not taper roll or some other mystical aberration..... it's ****kkking warped.

Wow... You give Wilson his deposit back after holding a cue for him for a week, and I'm guessing you gave him zero grief about the refund..Now Wilson has the opportunity to make it easy on Justabreak (which he should no question), but decides to blatantly screw him over...This screwing is as bad as the one I received with huysmall...The crazy thing is Wilson has supporters...I'm sorry Justabreak you didn't deserve this.

I have a couple of southwest that have the roll in the butt. The tips never move when the shafts are screwed on the butts and rolled.
I also have a couple that do not have any roll in the butt and roll straight also.
So if all of them roll the same with no tip movement which are straight? One of the cues with the roll is a new and unchalked franklin cue that was that way when I got it in 1991(none of the southwest I own are currently for sale)I sold 3 out of my collection in the last year on az and every buyer was happy.

LOL....Ok let see some videos of Southwest rolls. Here a few video that I did..one for a SW with a roll and another that is dead straight.

Here's a rare death straight SW that one of top 3 best SW that I've played with. Regret selling this one.

Let's not lose sight...............

Let's not lose sight of what this thread is about. It's about a buyer that is NOT satisfied with his (expensive) cue purchase, and how the seller is reacting and responding to the problem.
NOT about SW cues!Thanks.
Marc

I think Duc is onto something. Maybe a stickey thread with this info, how to check a cue for other things besides straightness, and how to prepare a cue for shipment might really be of some help to those here.

sw warped cue

a likely story, the cue became warped during shipping. regardless, the cue didn't arrive in stated condition. perhaps we should insure our shipments? and then well lots of luck saying the cue got warped during shipping. yeah right. seller should, as we all would, refund money and take warped cue back. if he doesn't he's nothing but a bleep bleep bleep and don't get me started that could go on all day.
