i replied to a post and got back somthin unreal

I'll go to bat for quitecoolguy here. While he should NOT of said what he did about Cliff...I'm positive he meant no harm. We all have spoke without thinking before. I kind of know quitecoolguy a bit...you have my word that he means no harm by his comments. He has proven to me that he is a loyal friend, a Christian I'm sure, and is the type to go out of his way to help a stranger in need. Maybe he'll edit his post a bit & we can all remain friends.
Cuenut...they played fairly early in her 9 ball career, she hadn't been here too long. In no way did she play the same speed then as she does now. Plus she was quite uncomfortable gambling & could be intimidated a bit back then...especially against a fine male gambler. Plus Cliff shot perfect...so thats the hows & whys as to what went down. She got much better soon there after. We put her in the box against little Tony getting the last 3, seven ahead for several large...she snapped that off in less than 30 minutes. Then repeated the same the very next night, but took a bit longer. She pretty much doesn't even gamble now...with her current income, its not needed...back then was different. In a local event I saw her go through Stevie Moore 9-2, then beat TK twice to snap off 1st place. Funny...I bought her in that event after 4 blinds and 5 other players were taken ahead of her...a nice $125 investment on my part...LOL!

see thats the thing i believe a spot dont matter if your in stroke and can get out anyway but givin the breaks thats a diff. story but the thing is that dennis backer contacted me and i offered him a game with a local player in my pool room for 10 dimes a set and havnt heard anything yet where asking for a pretty big spot and i asked some guys in the room and with the what im asking they would bet on dennis so i dont know what to think besides well try some with what i asked for!!!

$10,000 a set? That's the national debt of the Phillipines and you probably scared him off. Your player must be really good. How much weight did you ask for? Just give me a hint.

Okay...I did some thinking, i even got up early and asked my wife to read my post..I can see how i worded could be taken the wrong way

I waited to see if anyone posted a response and when i saw Keivn posted and said what he said,(thanks Kevin for the comments) complied with my pondering last night and my wife's advice i can truly see that i could have asked the question a better way.. I in no way wanted to put Cliff's personal stuff on front street. I was just curious if he still could and did play in NC. I will appologize again for posting the question the way i did..i have gone back and re-edited the post...i will not remove the response to ktown d If i am wrong you only have to say it to me, not ram it down my throat. I am a grown azz man with respect for myself and others, but i aint perfect...i think that is one problem on this forum and with people in general. People are so quick to raise their fist and get glee in the opportunity to put some one down as hard as they can without first just asking, ktown if you would have pointed out my error without attempting to cast judgement on me I would have edited it then. I will admit the wording could have been better but please dont assume you can sum up my character and my person by a post i could have worded better.

This goes to anyone..if ever i post something that isnt right..just tell me...I am an eazy going country boy that wouldnt hurt a fly...but I listen to reason. I am sure this wont be the last time i word something not quite right so i welcome any constructive feedback

Dennis's backer said he wouldn't bring him over for anything less than that!! He was the one to set the amount not Glass. I don't think the weight they are asking for is out of line, i'm sure the cat will be out of the bag soon enough.

You can't leave out Efren in any game anywhere against anyone if you think so come watch him gamble at DCC. He spots Joyner,Cory and Alex at there game and takes the cash.

At one pocket, not 9-ball.

What amazes me the most about this whole stroy is NOT that glasscity's friend wants to play 10 dimes a set against someone who is arguably the best money player in the world, but that he actually does know what a period is and yet only seems to use them for abbreviations!

i have never meet Cliff J. I have heard alot about him....There are alot of one pocket players in Richmond Va. They tend to shoot at Side Pocket....but for those of you who know..what is Cliff reallly like. i would like to know what he is like...I have a accustat tape on him playing one pocket and liked watching him play

Cliff loves action as much as anyone on the planet. Just loves it.

While playing, he is loose, but pretty quiet. Doesn't resort to any sharking or cheating or any of that crap. Plays a gentlemans game.

I assume your talking 1 pocket right? Nobody would bet against him in that game. But we were talking about rotation games. Thats what Dennis plays in the philippines and he is the money king, and who can bet against alex or yang for the cash in 9 or 10 ball ???

Efren is still the money king of the Phillipines in rotation games.

Hey man, you don't owe me an apology. I probably shouldn't have jumped as hard as I did but I get tired of people on this board (you just happened to be the one this time) fronting people's business. That is just how rumors get started and I ain't a big fan of the internet rumor mill. I am not personal friends with Cliff although we speak in passing and I was not rushing to defend his integrity. I may think he is the biggest POS walking but it ain't my place to tell people unless they are at risk of being harmed or severely wronged.

No harm, no foul. I shouldn't have made the comment I did and I will apologize for that. It was a knee-jerk response. In the future if you start to state something that is unsubstantiated or could be misconstrued it always is a good idea to give it a second glance.

Have a good Holiday,
D

Nobody can take Efren playing even in rotation, atleast not for big cash. I know Dennis is the current money king in the Philppines and will play anyone eight, nine, and ten ball for any amount but when it comes to rotation and one pocket Efren is the king.

If Im not badly mistaken wasnt there a thread where Efren stated that
Orcollo was the greatest Rotation that he had ever saw.. or came in contact with..?

Quoted from Billiards Digest

"Everyone knows that Dennis Orcollo is the money-game king. I can beat him in tournaments but not in money games."
- Efren Reyes.
