I trader / Reputation

Is the I-trader / Reputation effective? There have been situations lately here on AZ and I am wondering if the members think it is effective in the way it is currently set up? If your opinion is not, then what other reccomendations do you have to correct them? The Wanted / For Sale section combined with the Raffles area seems very popular on one hand and also very problematic on the other. I am curious if the members can make some suggestions to possibly make them more effective as far as protecting the buyers and sellers.

The iTrader is only effective if everyone uses it!I read the threads and hear about bad deals yet the iTrader is 100% positive They can TYPE because they get on here and WHINE but don't take the time to put anything in the iTrader to warn the rest of us?Go figure. Ron

Although it is not proper to neglect to leave a negative one often it is not left due to possible retailiation.:frown:
I don't agree but it does happen.

The mods should add an extra section (non visible to members, only to mods) in itrader comments, for full justification of a negative feedback. Then, they decide if it worths or not (leave it or erase it). Just to avoid retaliation.

I think they have there plate full just keeping up with the B.S. around here !!
If you question a deal you should use escrow ...
Other wise roll the dice !!

What about itrader for a raffle between the guy running the raffle and the winner of the raffle?

I am in Australia and have made a few purchases through the forum. Because of my location I can understand people being wary of dealing overseas. As such, I will always use an Escrow on larger items. It just makes plain sense....So far i can reccommend Cornerstone, Proficent and currently FastNLoose is dealing with a sale. All have great communication and their are no tears at the end of it.

Thanks

Leon

When these checks and balances were first made they were proposed by members with good intentions. However, problems have occurred since then that show clearly that some members will act dishonestly to increase their ratings both ways. Members have been caught with more than one Username, giving Positive Rep to themselves, if you can beleive that shit. In addition other members have free give aways whenever they want to boust their ratings.

The same problems also occur with the Itrader ratings, people are given free items to claim that a transaction was completed between certain members, when none was. With the rating system like it is, I can go to anyones account and give them positive or negative ratings anytime I chose to do, transaction or not, so what good are these systems?
