This is the worst SPOTRMANSHIP i ever seen in any sport and i dont want to be no part of it,i made a bet with jay helfert,i have earl,jay if you read this and you agree we can cancel our little bet,i just can not sit here anymore and root for this monster of a man to beat a great guy like shane,earl has lost agreat fan in me forever,and i sure he doesnt care.i hope shane comes back and gives earl the beating that he deserves!

Send your winnings (If you win) to the Sunshine kids (kids with cancer) and that way if Earl wins you can feel like you did something good. I'm really confused. I've seen Earl shoot in a few video's on youtube, but never saw the Shane guy. I have no idea why everyone seems to be offended by his actions. Granted I only watched from the start til about 11pm, but I thought the guy (Earl), was totally blowing the Shane guy away. Not only in ability but in showmanship. He was a total riot, I would think that for a money match there would be a obscene amount of smack talking going on, from both parties, but there wasn't even that.
I guess it's just some individual sports and individual competitors. I expect football players to talk trash to each other, I expect it from most proffesional sports really. So whats wrong with any talking in this game/match?

As you know pool is a 1on1 sport,so one needs a lot of concentracion,svb pulled up a few times from shooting because of earl talking very loud ,i agree earl can talk all he wants when he is shooting,but give the other player some respect and shut up when he is shooting!

I know earl has problems,as i have problems also,maybe i acted a little to harsh,but i have never seen no one act like that,including earl.i know when earl came to my pool room in the late 80s he was nothing like this,and he played for two days straight and broke even,i guess when your in a strange place you dont act up.

Pool is not comparable to football or even most professional sports. It is more comparable to golf. Certain sports require a quiet concentration to perform well and golf and pool are two of these sports. The nature of the game isn't like football, hockey or basketball that is more of an adrenaline based, fast paced continual action that pretty much drowns out any interference from the outside. It has always been considered proper in pool (as in golf) to not disturbed your opponent in any way (talking or movement) when he is playing. You mean you really didn't know this?
