Nick old pal, you have it backwards. Rick uses 3/8x10 not 3/8x11. Phillippi cues ph.#410-437-2386.

Still haven't gotten word from Mike Stacey, Rick Howard, Ted Harris or Ariel Carmeli. If anyone knows them well and could run it past them, I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Just an update, Rick Howard said it is not his cue. Other thoughts appreciated.

I looked at Ariel Carmeli's website and saw a lot of similarities.
Carmeli cues are the closest I have seen to your cue.
His newer ringwork is fancier, but his older cues had similar rings, points, butt cap, and joint.

In looking at his site, I think you have some very valid points. I'm still trying to get in touch with him. Thanks!

well from what i know about the cues built by carmeli is that he overlaps his veneers and does NOT miter them. also the bumper is not his style, butt cap is a bit long and joint ring phenolic collars are short for a carmeli cue, IMO.

Did you hear back from Ted Harris? Looks pretty similar to the stuff pictured in the BB.

I'm actually dying to know who made this cue...I keep checking back on this thread, just because I really like the looks of this cue. It's nothing "over-the-top", but a very simple, classy and dare I say "elegant" looking cue!

My money is on......

I have owned several Carmeli cues and my money is on him.

I have a Carmeli and was pretty sure at first glance this was Ariel's work. But, after looking at it a bit, I'd bet the house this is Kent Davis' work (who I believe is a Carmeli disciple). The rounded bumper is about the only way you can distinguish Kent's work from Ariel's, who uses the flat-bottomed bumper.

What's my prize?? Do I get the cue?? ;)

I will check with Kent. If it is his, I will send you a gift. Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving!
