A sold icon is a pretty good idea but a lot of times people post multipe cues, cases, etc in one thread which if they chose to use the sold icon it would create a lot more threads.
Ehhh... Closed threads are still available for viewing. You just can't post to them anymore.
I do too, but it does get cluttered and it would definitely help clean up the FS section if all the closed threads get removed in a few days of closing.
And I'm not too sure if everyone would be agreeable to know who bought what cues~ especially for those high end, rare cues. That's from a safety standpoint I guess~
Ahh, the irony....

probably the fact that someone with 31 posts in 8 months and one purchase transaction would have such a great idea as to what it would take for this forum to operate properly.
Like stated earlier, just replace the price with "sold" and don't do stupid post-sales bumps. The threads will die naturally that way.
Plus, there is the ongoing issue of bumps and threads in the "wanted/for sale" forum that actually have nothing "for sale".......
Jmo,

It does kind of get a little annoying when your on the first page see something posted for sale and you click on it and its already sold, close out and go to second page see something posted open it up sold. It would just be a good feature and i think that is what lead is referring to. Im a computer geek myself and former old school web designer and i constantly think when im on sites this would be a great feature to incorporate into the site, this would make it more user friendly or easier to navigate.
Your right Joe we all just need to do those little things on our own to keep things running smooth.I understand what you are saying, but I always get somewhat put off by folks constantly telling the moderators/AZB crew what they could do to make their site better. I think those issues should be done via email to the housepro/moderator email addresses, personally.
I am sure there are tons of things that could be "done" to improve the site, in some folks opinion, but each of them takes time, work, etc to put into place.
If we would all (myself included) simply do the things we should (don't bump old threads, mark items as sold, put a price on a sales thread, keep items in their proper forum) then the forum would be just fine...in fact, I think it is pretty darned smooth operating as is.
