sorry for the delayed response, but i have a day job & am now caught up @ AZB. so for starters - i'm sorry my post to you was misinterpreted; NEVER directed @ TAR.
Justin, we were discussing "business" last night. and networking. and for the record, i was pumping up TAR @ Vegas to the Brits. for you. for MG. exposure.
as a consumer, (and possibly a gambler), and in this economy - ETHICS & CUSTOMER SERVICE are crucial. without them, you have no client base. no repeat/referral business.
and that's where we are personally. after this Mosconi. we won't be back if things don't change in the Industry. not dissimilar to MG, NB, GS's comments.
for you to "not give a shit" - affects me as your TAR consumer. i have always had the UTMOST RESPECT for TAR, & YOU, & MG, & my future $$$$ spent. and you are just the 6'6" man to ensure it....
moreover, what counts, are those who actually drop-dime on pool events. without customers - we are all GOB/Gone Out of Business....
i won't post BH's email; you can. but please accept my apologies for any misunderstanding, Justin @ TAR & SHANE branding (Shane is upstanding!). we'll be back @ Vegas @ JAN 25 for WMC, if you want to meet.
.
Thank you for clarifying your posts and the kind words.
When someone says "your matches" to me I hear "TAR" so I apologize for being harsh. I agree 100% the bullshit moves in pool need to stop which is why I have been as outspoken as I have. It is also why I only work with certain people under particular conditions.
My view is that the Cup is Matchroom's business. They have demonstrated in the past they are a reputable and honorable entity. They are also very smart in how they do their business so I trust them to handle whatever needs to be handled. As a proven entity I believe they have earned the right to do as they see fit with any aspect of their events and should be allowed time and space to do so. If something went bad this year I trust them to address it.
When I said I don't give a shit I was referring to the he said/she said/did you hear stuff that goes on behind the scenes in bars and restaurants. When you have a small group of people many with personal axes to grind lots of things come up which are not true/half true and hard to verify. If I posted half the crap I heard over drinks it would hurt a lot of people. Much of it I find later to have been false/incorrect/or completely fabricated.
If something went down at the cup and it can be proven I believe Mr. Hearn will deal with it.
