If MONEY was no object who would build your PLAYING CUE

I would probably just play with a fancier Tad than the one I am currently using. I don't think I could play with a $10,000+ cue even if I had a billion in the bank.

I don't think I'd want a cue that I'd be afraid to pick up, let alone take to the pool room.

Not that I will ever have to worry about that decision.

I Don't Think So...

If MONEY was no object who would build your PLAYING CUE

Better question is... "If time was no object" what cue maker would build your playing cue.

I'm perfectly happy with the cue I play with now so the above would be moot. I just can't think of another builder or different design. Oh, and I won't have to wait a possible lifetime for delivery.

Not really a money issue more of a he doesn't make many cues issue.

Money was not an issue when I had mine built. Jacoby made mine and I love it. Here is a pic

Brunswick Gold Crown by Predator first choice and Predator LE XI second choice.

This is an easy one...

Tony Sciannella @ Black Boar custom cues

8pts knifed in ebony
Ivory points inlayed into ebony points
An elegant but fancy inlay design using 18kt gold and other material
Two tone BB logo
Two shafts ivory ferrules with his new special triangle tips
One ferrule-less shaft with special triangle tip
5/16x14 pin
Ivory joint or ivory over stainless depending on how the build turned out (weight and what the called for)

Also Barry Szamboti would be right there on the list too
If I had money I have to buy one of each loaded to the max

The above except. Letter wrap brought all the way back (1/2" from bumper) without the ivory ferules. Science has left those things behind.

I would still build my own, but on much nicer equipment in a climate controlled shop.

It would be a Silver Crown cue by Richard Black. That has been my dream cue since I got his catalog when I was in college in the mid 80's.

John Davis blank, 4 ebony points with flame with flame veneers into straight grain maple.
Half inch ivory block joint, 3/8-11 ss pin.
You can pick cuemaker

Judd Fuller

Let him pick joint, ferrule and wood. He is a cue making expert, why try to mess with his recipe.

Kamui soft tip

Once i had Buddy Hall ,Allen HOPKINS,and Mike Massey at my house for dinner during a tournament. I showed them a GUS cue that i had just got .Was like a peacock cue very very fancy but was like 22oz . they all hit balls with it,then Allen picked up acue hit some balls gave it to Buddy and Mike all raved about this plain 4point ebony cue . thought it hit as good as anything they ever hit with. It was a cue Bob Runde made for my wife. Iwould have BOB make me another box cue like Scott Kittoe and Ihad in the 80,s.

If money were no object, I'd be occupied with young and perfect gold digging swimsuit models, probably never make it into the billiard room.

Marc, I 100% agree.

But if for some odd reason I still had time for pool it would be an 8 point Tascarella with a piloted steel joint and no ferrules.

Not talking about the Fancies Cue, but a Cue for Everyday Play.

Would it be a Tittles Conversion, or a ?

Would it have a Radial Pin, or ?

Would the Ferrules be IVORY, or ?

Tip Choice would be.?

Anymore more ideas, or have you that Perfect Playing Cue no?

why? are you going to buy me one?
just in case you're feeling gratuitous:

Gina 19a
- 60"
- 19.5oz
- 12.8mm sniper/emerald tips, 3/4" micarta or lbm ferrule
- ivory joint
- straight grained maple forearm, ebony handle

If money were no object, I'd have cues from at least the top ten or so.
And I agree with ceasarmorales, Judd really should be in the top ten.
:p

I'd build me a cue out of a Brazilian Rosewood Brunswick house cue. :D

Searing and Szamboti easily come to mind if I wanted a cue built.
