If MONEY was no object who would build your PLAYING CUE

Bobby Hunter without a doubt. He made the best cue I've ever hit, next to Kersenbocks, Szamboti's, Black Boar's, and Hercek's.
 
Non fancy would be either a Gina pJ or a 4 point Gus or Barry, Ed young,Ed Prewitt, Dennis Searing 1/2 joint ss. John Showman 4 point. Tasc PJ or 4 point. A BB PJ, That's to name just a few. Luckily i own most of these CMs. Unfortunately i had to sell my ebony Gina PJ if you want to call it a PJ. It is a great cue.
As far as fancy i could still go with any of the above i mentioned.:)
 
I have been blessed. I play with the the two cues I would choose, given any choice.

My primary cue is an 8-point Gina, given to me by my wife for our 10th anniversary and a recreation of a cue I let pass through my hands as a younger more foolish man.

For our 25th she asked what I wanted and I got a beautiful 5-point Gina, same specs as the other, for my "travel cue." It's supposed to be "plain" but after the ivory joint, elephant ear wrap, ivory butt plate (and matching ivory joint protectors my wife called Ernie to sneak in as an added present), I'm not sure I'd be any less sad if I lost my travel cue in airline baggage.

Bob Frey will build my dream cue once I can finally decide what my dream cue is. I am constantly changing the design and materials. Once I can finally decide on something I will take it to him.

I would also like a Lambros just to see if they live up to the legend.
 
Well, I have a Gina and no complaints here. But if I were to get something I don't already own I would probably go for a Tasc, Schick, Tad or Searing.

I'd also like to try a Cog, and am surprised no one has mentioned them yet. It seems some people love them and some don't but a lot of very good players use them so I'd like to see what they are all about for myself. Any Cog I'd buy would probably be a non-fancy plain-janer anyway because I'm not a fan of floating points.
 
If money were no object, I would get Keyra Augustina to build a cue.

The lathe would be about 22" off the floor. Don't forget the heels.

I'd have Barnhart build me one ... in fact, I'd pretty much just put it in his hands. "make me one like the one I have, only fancier"

What..no Southwests?

I've read this entire thread and have not seen one poster say Southwest would be their choice. What's up with that?

Of all the cues I've ever hit with, SWs were my biggest let-down. I hit with 2 and couldn't figure out why someone would wait a year let alone 10.

Not saying they hit terrible, they hit "aight" --- but no better than the other 30 cue makers that put out cues every other month (let alone a decade).
 
I've Got Mine

I recently acquired a Murrell from Jamie ( AZ'er Worminator ), and I think its the best playing cue I have ever played with. I really, really like it.
 
Money is no object? Joel Hercek basic 4 point 4 veneer cocobola or Ebony with ivory hoppe ring, ivory joint and ivory ferrules, but it would be just as much for bragging rights as it would be for play-ability.

my current everyday player is a Jim Pierce and I far as I am concerned I have found my cue maker as far as play-ability goes, and he is currently quite a lot less cash and not as long a wait!!:D

Nothing special about south west cues...baloney

how many times were they voted best hitting cue

not counting how many people that are happy to wait 10 years to get one

for a guy with no feed back to knock the best in the business,it makes me wanna puke
