Let's float into fairy land for a second here and muster up a free wish shall we.

Based on your current skill level (or in general, whatever floats your boat) if you were granted a pool related wish that would give you god like power over a particular aspect, which would you choose?

Snooker's
a) Cueing

3 Cushion's
b) Understanding of the rails/rail system

c) Perfect speed control (mush less proficient at pocketing)

d) Perfect ball pocketing (much less proficient at speed control)

e) Perfect focus + a or b

f) Ultimate mental game (nothing phases you, NOTHING)
(I really hope you get where this is going)

Keep in mind that ones current ability could affect this greatly, but let's let it ride anyway. Hey you have the opportunity to master one aspect of pool or as I mentioned your pool game. What is the one thing that in your opinion that matters the most in pool or in your mind and why. Oh and i left out fundament cause i kind of feel that the snooker guy has that covered.
 
I would want another Larry Vigus cue for my left hand. The one for my right hand doesn't miss....so I figured if I had one dedicated for my left hand I would be deadly.

If I had god like snooker skills should be easily in world top 20 and mint money few millions over number of years

dont need to be a sharp shooter if im always close to my work with a very manageable angle...:thumbup:
 
If I only had a brain ...

Case in point ... 5 balls left on the table (straight pool) I pick my break ball, key ball, and end pattern. I get down and shoot the first shot .... instantly playing perfect position ... on my break ball. Yep, the one I chose not 10 seconds ago. This shit happens all the time. I need a goodly shot of FOCUS. I'm shot ....

cause without speed control you could end up behind a ball, up table or on the wrong side. "since i have to explain"

Now, that's what I'M talkin' 'bout. Wouldn't give up my Larry Vigus ... Ever !!!

To the question : One thing I'd wish for is Perfect Vision. Playing since 1949 and failing eyesight is worse than my Osteo Arthritis and Severe Back / Knee Pain. If
I could see 20/20 my game would be much more enjoyable, with many more Wins.
 
I would have the ability to point my finger at my opponents object ball, and it would miss a pocket every time.

Then, it wouldn't matter on how good I was as I could have a hundred or more shots on the table.

I have been practicing this technique and you would be amazed on how well it works.

Of course, sometimes your opponent doesn't like it when you chase his ball down the table while pointing at it.

It doesn't matter if I end up behind a ball. I just kick and pocket the ball because my pocketing skills are perfect.
 
I would want a Martin cue. I've heard they are some of the best playing cues ever built.
Other than that I wish someone would tell me how to get snot out of corduroy. I've got a shirt with a big white spot on the sleeve. :)
 
Why better eye sight? You would have to be half blind in order to miss those big honkers on that pool table.
 
I would like to be able to cut a layer of paint on the ob from 9 feet to leave the ob on the short rail and cb back to other end rail. Or cut it in the corner razor thin.

Wish I had that shot.
