If you could play anyone, who is a Member of Arizona of Billiards Forum?

Let me play smokenapack. His choice of place. I prefer Darmstadt, Geissen, or Ktown. We'd have to play even for my baby's plane ticket.

jude rosenstock his place. Any game race to two.

Jimmy Fusco his place one pocket I get 9 to 7.

Jimmy Reid his place.

Anybody else gets the break at my place.

Obv we're playing straight pool then.

I believe Mike Howerton originally designed this site to be for billiards coverage for the state of Arizona, hence the title AZBilliards. If I'm not mistaken, I remember reading somewhere that he was interested in tracking some AZ regional players that were playing on the Camel Pro Tour.

But, I guess over time, as the site grew more and more popular, it became more of a nationally recognized site and Mike and Co. expanded the coverage to national coverage. Thus, creating out of necessity, the AZ Billiards we know today... which I believe now stands for "The A to Z of Billiards"

Let me know if I missed something Mike.

Yes, you are correct.

Who would you choose, they need not be alive, active, or could be on the BANNED list.

What game would you play?

As learning experiences and for sparring I'd play them all cheap sets:

Thorsten Hohmann (straight pool and 9-Ball)
Darren Appleton (8-Ball)
Karl Boyes (8-Ball)
Danny Harriman (bank pool)
Keith McCready (one-pocket and banks)

and

Ray Martin (straight pool), though I might just pay him for instruction rather than play him for it.

You - anygame :)

I'd have to go with Jude or BVal for cheap sets since there are two things I look for in an opponent right now...

1) Someone I'd get along with
2) Someone who will teach me while they torment me

Sunnyday and CHRIM, because I know no matter what the outcome, we ALWAYS have a good time. Especially when we get the ETOH involved:D .

Played most but...

I'd like to play Jay in LA Cafe on student night

Jimmy in a weekend marathon (no spot you must drink atleast 1 pint an hour) in some sleezy town over the mexican border which would probably result in his divorce!

Blackjack 14.1 race to 2000 in some iconic dingy pool club

Hohman or JS race to 150 in the knockout stages of the world 14.1

SVB on the action report if I ever quit my job and practice for a year (atleast!)

WillieBreak50 on a really tight table!

I was busy being knocked out of my local tourney right before the money :-(

I'm planning on heading to Vegas. What days are most people going?

I am going for the team event and will be there from the 12th to the 17th. Hopefully we can hook up and shoot some :)

By the way, I know a little something at finishing one out of the money :(

I grew up in Boston, so if I enter NYC I think I'll spontaneously combust. :p

Seriously though I've never been there. I'm not sure how I managed that. If I do ever end up that way you'll be the first to know.

No, you'll just find the other Boston Refugees and hang with them half the time. Safety in numbers - always a good thing!

Seriously, it's actually amazing how many people wear Red Sox caps on the streets of New York now. I swear to you, 10 years ago, you would never see it. During baseball season, you practically see it every day.

Now that I live about 3500 miles away from Boston I can safely say...

I hate baseball, and I don't hate New Yorkers.
