Sweet marissa? Really? shes alright and all, but man youve gotta set your sights higher than that. U put SM on the same list as sigel and mosconi. Oh well to each theyre own.

Luther Lassiter, because he was a player I was lucky enough to watch on numerous occasions, but every time I watched him, he was shooting straight pool. Where? At the Amsterdam Billiard Club, of course.

Fats.

I can't believe nobody said Fats, yet.
I'd want to play him partly for the pool, mostly for the stories!

;o)

Well, I played Fats and I played Mosconi when I was in my teens, so they're out.

If I had my wish, it would have to be Ralph Greenleaf or any of the legendary straight pool players in their prime.

Irving Crane
Jimmy Caras
Cisero Murphy
Luther Lassiter

Stones
(I'd also have to have a nice comfy chair.) LOL

My friend Robin. We used to hangout playing pool and other stuff two or three times a week, sometimes more. She slowly moved on to other things and quit having time for me which created some drama in April and since then we haven't spoke, emailed, texted or hungout at all. Sucks. Nothing would make me happier than if she walked through the front door of the place I play every afternoon with cue stick in hand lookin' for me :)

If you could play a game of nine ball with anyone in the world,
past, present, who would it be, and where would you play?

Thanks

I started on Az in April of this year, looking for information about my grandmother, Grace Medina. She was a player back in the 60s and 70s in the LA area. Jay Helfert was nice enough to give me a recollection of her.
Of the information he does remember, I do think it was her.
She died of cancer in 1984. My father told me stories of her and her pool days.
I would give anything to play a game with her today. She was a 14.1 player and I am a nineball player, so it would have to be 14.1 and I bet she would kick my #%@ if we played today. LOL
My dad has told me MANY times, "pool is in my genes". Thanks to my one of a kind grandmother.

Lassiter. :)

I'm with Fatboy on that one - the other choice would be Fats. wow what it must have been back in the day to be a part of that age of pool.

SHANELLE, and I'd play a lot of safeties!

Or second choice FATS. He could take an hour to play one game if he starting telling stories. Some of his best "exhibitions", he might hit one ball in an hour. He'd just lean up against that table, cue in hand and start talking. And talking, and talking. And talking some more. And the crowd loved it!

This may sound sappy but if I could play a set of 9-ball, or any other game for that matter, right now with anyone past or present, I'd have to say I'd like to play with my dad. He died when I was 21 years old. I had only been playing a few years at that time and we never got a chance to shoot together. I would give anything for that chance.
MULLY
then it would be Earl

Not sappy at all. My dad was a local barbox champ, and the reason I started playing was to get good enough to beat him. (That happened a while ago.) I relish every opportunity to pocket game ball; but strangely enough, I enjoy watching my dad do it even more.

Scotch Doubles...

...with my Dad, Earl and Keith.

Keith and I would be on one team because we love Budweiser and Earl and my Dad would be on the other because they have the same temperment!

I would have loved to have my Dad around as I was first starting to play pool. He would love it.

Travis Trotter

For this great honor I may even use a cuetec, just to show him the respect that he deserves

thanks

im jumping on the bandwagon

I have been lucky enough to play Archer! Also lucky enough to play my dad, that is always fun, but I would love to play Wimpy Lassiter since i am a native of NC and it was one of the greatest 9 ball players

There is something about Asian women that drives me nuts. So yes, I stick with my list. Plus she seems to be a pretty nice person so it would be fun.
