If you were going to play a match for a lot of money

I'd have to say a Chuck Starkey just because everytime I pick up that cue it feels familiar and it takes almost no time to adapt. Maybe it's the big wood pin and the feel being close to a one-piece cue.

and you could pick a cue from any maker you wanted, but couldn't play with it beforehand, what cue would you pick?

You are going simply on the reputation and your past experience with that brand of cue.

Oh, you don't get to keep the cue.

Early 90's schon cue with a predator 12.25 z-314 shaft....

The one with the canadian flag

If I didn't have my own cue I would choose a straight dufferin house cue 19oz. They are very easy to adjust too.

Kinda Funny

I don't know if this has happened to many of you or you have seen it. I really good player down on his luck has no cue. Someone comes into play him and he asks to borrow a cue. So you lend him or someone else lends him a very expensive cue, what ever the name it doesn't matter.

He plays about three racks with it and you look back over and he switched to a house cue. Thats why I answered house cue. If you don't have your gun with you a good house cue is probably your best bet. Unless you use and LD shaft than you better hope somebody has a predator for you to use or you are dead in the water.

I'd pick a simple McDermott.

I would have to agree with Poolnut on this one!! An old McD!

Who cares about the silly paint jobs and colors. Since that's the hit that I prefer, and they all hit pretty much the same. I would have to choose the McD.

Plus then I wouldn't have to be all butt-hurt that I didn't get to keep it.

I agree Jay!!

I hit with Morro's plain jane TAD's and they both played very nice.

My other choice would be a Padgett. Every one (about 20) I have hit with is well balanced and has a great hit.

OK, a TAD for you, but what bridge would you use? :D
(inside joke folks)

huebler!!!

just like pagalian in the 2004 BCA 9 ball tourny he didnt win but.... its alex
and i have that same cue!!!! oh ya!

Huebler is the Bomb diggity lol:thumbup:

Hands down, Mike Webb Cue with a LD shaft.

I love Mike's cues...
