If you won the lottery would you???

So here is the question, if you won the lottery, say $100,000,000+. Would you open a room of your own, or just start hanging around the room of your choice (at one of the rooms I frequent, there are about 10 or so guys that play from noon to 6 pm)?

At work people are starting to try and get the a lottery pool (20 of us bought 100 tickets), and everyone here is in that dreaming state (like we are going to win=), and some on asked if I would open a room if I won.

I don't know what I would do, but I thought it was a fun question…

Let's see, win the lottery and open a room which means I would have to work......definitely not! If anything, I would pack up, travel the states and play.

i'd buy the room i like, replace all of the tables with brand new goldcrowns (even the 8 footers :) ) i'd pay sombody to vacuum the tables everyday & polish the balls. AND I WOULDN'T GIVE A DAMN IF I EVER MADE A DIME FROM THE PLACE!!!!:) :)

Good man. :D
But I would at least want to make a profit. I would open a place like Big Al's here in Vancouver but have another section of the building just for pool with stands for spectators to bring the pros in town to have tourneys. I could charge $20/person per day and have a big turn out. Add $50,000+ to the tourney and make $75,000 on a food/drink/tickets/etc. At least it would get a men's pro tourney in the NW. Just like "Field of Dreams"..."If you build it, they will come..."

.

I believe I would hire 2 accountants, an attorney, get an rv and take me on the road, challenging the best in every room to a race to 13 for $9.00.

I have had this fantasy worked through in my head ages ago.

With 100M I would fund a pool players tour that would consist of 10 major events of 100k added a year, a $250k tour championship plus at my home pool room there would be 1000 added tournaments 3 times a week, every week. 9ball handicapped, 9ball open and 1pocket. The room would have at least 30 gold crowns with stadium seating and video cameras setup over all the tables. I might blow through 20M or so in the next decade doing this, but it would be a great ride.

Now if I could only remember to buy a lottery ticket.

i'd buy a couple houses, cars. everypool cue that cought my eye. and spend the rest on a prequal's and sequal to the color of money and start making other pool movies

what I'd do

You really wanna know what I'd do with the money? Well, since I consider myself a reasonable guy...I'd first pay off my car, every bill I have, then I'd have some fun. I'd buy a moderate house of my own, trade my car in for a truck, QUIT working for someone else and open my own room to keep busy doing something. I'd have a couple more NICE cues made for me by my favorite cuemaker, I'd have a nice Gilbert 4 pointer to smack balls with from time to time, and a couple very nice JUSTIS cases to keep my cues in. I'd keep it low profile, but I'd definitely have nicer things...Just nothing too flashy. I'd take a 1 month trip to FLA. to see my prior "best friend" and play some pool with him which I haven't gotten to do in years. I'd make sure my family was taken care of financially also...I'm not greedy. So, in conclusion: Bills, toys, my own pool room, my own house, and I'd take care of my family as well. What else is there?

That's about my idea as well - though I wouldn't necessarily buy an existing room. I'd want to find the PERFECT spot, and build it out in a sweet manner. Large/nice enough to be able to host some good regional events.

And I'd like it to turn SOME profit - enough that it essentially pays for itself and the staff is well taken care of, etc. - but if I had $100 mil, I don't think I'd be sweating my own salary too much. :D

Buy a business. Too much work.

I would spend most of it on pool, booze, gambling, and women.

Then waste the rest on stuff like food, house, and etc.

First off I would have to buy a lottery ticket. So chances are I would never win. The same as if I did buy one.

BINGO! I would comp all of my friends and would more than likely live in the poolroom itself so that I would never be more than a spitting distance away from a table. Are you all "investing" in this week's megamillions like I am? :)

I would go straight to the gentleman's club. I'd probably quit pool and bang hoes until I die from it. :D

I'll tell you what I'd do, man: two chicks at the same time, man.
I always wanted to do that, man. And I think if I were a millionaire I could hook that up, too; 'cause chicks dig dudes with money.
Well, not all chicks, but the type of chicks that'd double up on a dude like me do. :D

Name that flick!

I'd open a large pool club in Asia (Thailand or Philippines) and hold the best international pool tour ever (eg it wouldn't be funded by qualifiers!).

:D
