If your life depended on this..

I know this sounds crazy, but this should make for an intersting thread..

If someone put a gun to your head and told you "you've got your pick of any pool-player in the world..You must select a player to break one rack of 9ball,and run out..no exceptions..one chance..that's it..he misses and you will get it."

I'd pick myself..because although I am by no means a champion..I can run-out ..and above all else ,I would rather decide my fate than someone else..

If I had to choose somebody(else)..I'd probably go with Rodney Morris 'cause he is always a cool customer under pressure and he's got the smoothest stroke in the game..and that is definetly a trait you'd require in a player for these type of stakes!

Any Thoughts AZ ? who would you choose ..?:D

Nothing to this one. I'd choose the guy with the gun and I would even hold the gun for him while he was trying to run the rack! :D :D :D

The best pick

I would pick myself. Since no shot clock was specified, after I broke, I would
take 100 years to shoot my next shot.

Lol

Imagine the drama surrounding this, you pick your player,

The racking over and over,
The player preparing to break, getting set, getting reset, and reset.
The stroking, he raises up, gets reset, and starts stroking again.
He breaks with a big crack to the rack.

Ball fly everywhere. The 6 goes in, the 2 slides into the side. The cue ball is parked good, the one is visible, and the 5 ball comes rolling up and knocks the cue ball into the other side.

You look at him, he looks at you, you look at the table, and then back to him,
he looks at you, and says, "I never liked you anyway".

As you hear the gun being cocked .... you mutter, "but Shane".

More like "but jack" as in Jack Hynes LMAO!

George Breedlove.

Rodney Morris and Earl Strickland a very close second. You definitely want a monster break, someone used to gambling for big stakes, and a high octane offense. I'm thinking safety skills are not so useful in this "gun to the head" scenario. I think GB has the edge in banking skills over the other 2; and perhaps a bit more "stability", and an overwhelming desire to runout whenever remotely possible.

What Kind Of Wine Goes With Powdered Jelly Donuts ?

With my life on the line and figuring that Joey A. wouldn't belly up to the table like a man and save me, I'd have to put my fate in the hands of the only white hat wearing pool hero to millions of people.... Fast Larry.

Now that this is out of the way, I can get back to my previous serious thoughts: http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=65697

Boy, do I wish I could play that good sometimes..but if I did,all of this soft-action I get will go right down the toilet LMAO ...I'd either have to give up the nutz to call it "gambling" or play another champion..either way, playing at that speed has it's pros and cons(like everything else)
