I actually helped with one of those telethons back around 1988. I was one of the people that sit and answer the phones for pledges on the stage while the TV MCs walk and talk and ask for money. It was on the local TV station in Grand Forks, ND. I never saw any "famous" people...I don't think they wanted to be in ND. Neither did I.

Lewis' in his post, NOT Jerry Lewis... (two completely different people, but I'm certainly not surprised you were [sic] confused) ;)

LATE EDIT; After seeing Mr Eyes response to Mr. Wiley, (post #82) I must question if HE even knew the difference between the Lewis' ?.. I feel like I'm hearing an old Abbott and Costello exchange ! (Mr Flash, those are two comedians, who were popular WAY before your time !)

I have nothing against you or anybody else on here. I contribute whatever I "want" on here and you do the same. People can read it, add to it, ignore it, or whatever they want.

FWIW, when I drank (which was OFTEN), I NEVER "pretended" not to be drinking. I ACTUALLY DRANK! And a lot of my BEST playing was WHEN I WAS DRINKING! And I LOVED when people I was playing would try to buy me drinks to SLOW me down...it actually made me shoot a lot better and I had a HIGH TOLERANCE. While they were drinking coffee, I was drinking ANOTHER beer.

I don't care who drinks or how much they drink or when they drink.

All three are true. It's you who is blinded by your own proclaimed self worth to these forums. The statements Lou made that were racially based towards JB cannot be quoted as the thread was pulled due to blatant racism. And this thread itself shows that you feel you should be let off the hook because of who you are. I guess your self absorbed attitude has made you blind towards your interactions with others. You are very forceful with your words. You are a somewhat intelligent man that knows the language your using. What you fail to grasp is that others see plainly through the guise of innocence that you portray. You feel you were unfairly banned? Boo hoo. Maybe next time you'll cry to an audience that actually cares.

I know the owners of AZB are pretty tired of dealing with the petty drama that follows some posters. I personally know that when you attacked JB after JB said he was done with these forums I had to PM AzHousePro in order for your attacking post to be deleted. You weren't banned then, but you were banned again shortly after for continuing the same drivel of attacks. This entire thread exists because you, Dick McMorran, feel as if you are better than everyone else. You feel violated because you got banned. Well guess what Dick, if you don't like the possibility of being banned you are more than welcome to start your own forum. Where you are king and everyone is the sewer spawn you believe us to be.

My impression of this thread is that SJD wanted to vent and knew he was pushing the envelope. I've been laughing because you guys are really entertaining, and we, the lucky readers, thank you! :thumbup:

We've got seven different arguments going on and it's hard to keep track of all the vitriol being spewed. I'm just glad you guys aren't mad at me, I hope. I'll definitely have to double up my Depends to keep reading all this.

I'm going back to my Chinese TOI thread, so I can get some more love from my fans. :wink:

I don't think the Martin and Lewis team was very good...Dean did well to leave.
Jerry wasn't even 'too much pie in the face'...he was too much 'pablum' in the face.
The only time I liked him was in The KIng Of Comedy....where he played a serious role.

I'm a Dean fan...and think he was the best actor of the Rat Pack.

I'm also a Rickles fan, therefore I like SJD.
But you ain't takin'n no prisoners yourself....never surrender, CJ.
