hey guys I have been gone for a long time since I had a stroke in october. however i am back now and although my left leg and arm are still showing results of a stroke i am shooting again. My arm is a little wobbly and cant make my usual open bride plus I have to ware a huge AFO on my foot. How ever I can shoot. My Handicap fell from a 4 borderline 5 to a 3 because of medical reasons I expect to pick it up soon. I played yesterday and lost 2 and won one so i lost the match however now that i Have the first game since the end of september jitters out of my system and post stroke experience I expect to adapt and do well this coming sunday. Missed you guys and glad to be back.

Good to have you back my brother. Hang in there, it'll come, by next week you'll be the 3 no one wants to play. You stay sharp, you're an inspiration!

You truly ARE a (american) fighter!!! Welcome back to the forum, and.......what the heck are you doing up at this hour??? :D

Maniac (fixin' to turn in)

In case you missed it, while you were gone we created the Aiming subforum. That way if you ever feel like getting into an argument, watching someone self destruct, or just want to be marketed to by pros selling their secrets, there is no confusion on where to go.

Always good to hear about people recovering from life-changing health issues.

Strokes are no fun

I had a stroke while working in my garden last March. I mentioned it in a post, but other than Randy G, readers thought I was joking about my pool stroke.

Strokes are pretty scary. I was completely paralyzed except for my left arm. Fortunately, the EMTs arrived quickly and treated me right there on the ground. I recovered very quickly and was playing pool two weeks later. My memory is still not quite what it was as yet.

Anyway, good luck and take care of yourself.

Sorry to hear you had a stroke. Glad to hear you are on the mend. I hope things continue to get better for you.

Glad to hear you're back....I always liked a fellow "Gunfighter" ;)

Rock- on man. I had a car wreck in '86, broke my neck and bruised my spinal cord. Had to relearn damn near everything but i got there. You will to.
