I'm coming to Chicago!

Well, the stars aligned. My APA team will be at Red Shoes Tuesday night for the final week of playoffs.
We'll be on the Valleys in back by the bar. If you're still coming let me know, and we'll try to get one of the tables near the Valleys.

Don't forget to remind Freddy.

Will seriously try to remember, as I only have to keep my brain together for one day.:)
See you tomorrow (hopefully).

Sorry to have missed you last night, Freddy. You would have been proud of my skinny long rail crossover bank on the 8 to help our quest (Dan's and mine) to become the Scotch Doubles World Champions of Chicago, which we were successful at against Scott and his partner.:p

Maybe we will see you tonight at Chris's?

Linda

That was a great bank! Freddy would have been proud. You only missed her by about 10 minutes, Freddy.

It was very nice to have met both you and Dan, Linda. I wish you hadn't had to leave so early, it was fun. Definitely let me know the next time you're in town.

I had such a great time playing at Chris's last night. One more time, one out of the money after losing my first match. Didn't play too badly after not playing on 9 footers for forever.

Got drawn to do the 'impossible shot'. Put the 9 ball on the foot spot, put the one ball on the head spot and freeze the cue ball in line with both balls 'on the Brunswick'. Then call a pocket for the combo. I had actually made it twice in practice.

Well, for $400+, I made it...but in the opposite corner.  :(

It occurred to me as I went through those plastic curtains that I had been there before and indeed I had.

Thanks so much to Dan for squiring me around and keeping me entertained with his music and stories and to Scott for his companionship. Can't wait to return. I may even implement the impossible shot in my Friday night tourneys!

Hey Linda, It was a pleasure seeing you again but how in hell did we manage to get a lousy pizza in Chicago?? I thought that was more unlikely than that combo for the cash at Chris's last night!! Come back anytime, take care and have a safe trip home!!

You can't go to Pizza Hut!

Linda...Glad you had fun in the Windy City! Our paths will cross another time, I'm sure. Might even make it out to Medford one of these days! Right now, I'm busy unpacking from my move last weekend from MI to sunny FL! Got a couple of weeks before I'm back out on the road again, so my wife is putting me to work! :D

Hopefully, next time it won't be a playoff night and we can play a bit more. I'm glad we were playing at Red Shoes, but sorry I had to "ignore" you for part of the evening while tending to my team.

Hey Scott, Not only was the pizza bad, but the place was only 5 blocks away from The Ten Cat and the driver got lost during the delivery. DUH!! Linda & I want to thank you for picking up our table time, I owe you one for that.. Keep in touch and we can meet at Red Shoes one of these days on my dime!

It was the least I could do for the Scotch Doubles Champions of the World.

It was nice to have met you both.

No doubt I will be back to FL. What part do you live in?

I certainly didn't feel ignored! We had a wonderful time and thanks so much for getting our table time. Next time I'm there, maybe we can play together a bit more!
