I'm curious, how many racks have you run in a row(9-ball on 4.5x9 only)

What's your lifetime highest consecutive racks run amount on any 4.5x9?

Seems like everyone on here is running 3-4 racks. Lol if all of you get together I'd like to bet the under on how many break and run's I think everyone would get. Haha. :)

Don't forget these figures are for once in a lifetime.
I've seen a lot of packs at 9-ball. Allthough no 10-packs.

I knew a man who had a 21-pack at 8-ball on a valley bb...Bobby Legg's

I also knew someone who had a 22-pack ran on him....Jimmy Moore

I see what you're saying, maybe some of us are being too skeptical.
I can see a guy running 10 once in his life if he's capable of running 5 every now and then.

Anyway...
I need to get out and sweat some more high level games like this!
Even though I travel to all the local rooms and even travel out of state
to watch the regional tour events, I never see anything approaching 8 or 10 packs.
Where can someone watch this kind of barbox action?

Me too! That is on my bucket list, as is putting a saddle on a triceratops in the Kentucky Derby and taking first. I figure that the latter has better odds of actually occurring than the former...and not to mince words: high level action is nowhere to be seen in my parts...I'm crying on the inside...

Would you believe a few months ago at a tournament at the Rack in Memphis a guy from Arkansas had a 11 put on him, and the next guy he matched up with he was 2 up playing 5 ahead and missed the 1 and didn't shoot again? This was on a a barbox. These were not top players that did this in front of many people? I think Busty said the most he had run was 7.

In the 90's there was so much action around my town(Columbia SC) that there was ALWAYS 10 players around that could runout for an hour on a barbox. I won't say his name here but when our best player was playing he ran 6, 7 or 8 at least once everytime he matched up on the barbox. Sadly he has been in poor health for the last year or so but even before that he gave up on pool for a few reasons. There was alot of magic around here for about 10 years.

The most racks I have ever heard of was 18, playing 9 ball on a valley barbox by Paul Turner. I had three people that was there that told me it was true. I know he ran 8 on me once. Most racks on a big table I know of was Johnnys 13. I have seen a few 8's and 9's in my life though.

Paul Turner ran 22 on the bartable once in GA. I've heard the story from at least 5 people all of which were there.

Big action between great players is scarce everywhere nowadays, don't cry! It was only that way here because there were 5-6 bookies who loved nothing more than to beat their buddy at any kind of bet so they staked almost everyone who came through town. And it would've continued until a few of them got dumped for some pretty large figures. They got dumped alot of other times too of course but never for anything like the last few. All those champions didn't know how good they had it....

just 4:embarrassed2: break always stops me

Tru dat! Or no shot after the break will find it's way in there somewhere. Then, no matter what that shot is, I'll go for it just to try and keep that run of racks going. Unless the bet's high enough to where you know you have to push out or play safe.

mine's 3, ironically on a 9 footer with 3 and 7'8th pockets, I haven't ever run 3 on more "normal" pockets (larger than 4'3/8ths)... guess the tight table also tightened up my stroke lol

bih

not going to vote because i usually take BIH after the break when i play the ghost at home. My best on my previously set up table (quad shimmed gold cup) was 7 in a row taking BIH after the break.

Once on a bar box, race to 5, i lost the coin toss and the guy broke dry and he had to inform me after the set that i ran out the set. i'm glad he informed me because i wouldn't have known, lol. i'm pretty sure i made a 9b otb that set.

someday i'm prob going to set up my table to be standard so i can improve some of these numbers.

I think we should have a contest where people post videos of themselves playing the ghost with no ball in hand. Maybe even let them use a hand span so they can't claim they got hooked on the break. We should see like 100 tem packs that way.

lol we're now at the point where better than one out of twenty voters
has put up a ten pack.

It's like being told some animal is rare and endangered and you ask
"oh wow, how many are left?" and they answer "only about 975 million."

Cmon creedo, you doubt that 20% of respondents matched or bested earl or archers career highlights?

Well I've got you all beat. I ran a ten pack, but I did mine underwater. Take that azb!
