JAM might be able to confirm this but I had heard somewhere that Keith used to be buddies with or was staked by Mickey Dolenz:confused:

Years ago when he was living in California, he did go to a pool room in Hollywood where a lot of actors and celebrities would congregate, like Keither Sutherland, the Columbo guy, Mission Impossible actors, and this Monkee! :D

Keifer was the stakehorse for Ether. Perfect fit huh. Maybe not, it just sounded too good to pass up. But Keifer definitely staked some high stakes action at Hard Times.

I just watched a documentary called "I want you to kill me". I guess Keifer owns a record label and the movie is about him going on the road with one of his bands to Europe. Good movie and some kick ass music. He seems like an interesting cat.

About a year and a half ago I was speaking with someone that was having an altercation with you in this forum. I remember telling this person at the time ... when you give as good as you get, you need to expect to get as good as you give. I believe that the same statement applies here as well.

Some of these threads are like snowball fights. Its all fun and games and everybody is having a great time until some kid gets hits in the back of the neck with a slushee-ball. Slushee-balls are a neat kind of snowball. They are the kind that hit your neck and explode and then slide inside the back of your shirt. The kid that gets hit with it gets pissed off and the fun turns into an ugly war. The kid that got hit usually doesn't stop until he gets revenge on the person that threw it - and eveybody that laughed when it happened.

Don't be the kid that got hit with the slushee-ball. You have more to offer this forum than all of this bickering that is spilling into every thread you respond to.

That was F'ing deep bro.......................

Dont be the kid that got hit with the sulshee ball.......

lotta different levels to that right there....

Well, one thing for sure, whatever I have to say to somebody, I say it to their face or, in this instance, I reply on the forum.

I have never found it prudent to bad-mouth others via PM behind posters' backs. I feel this is stooping to a different level. Rather, I would post directly to the person via PM or in the public forum, much like Blackjack did in this thread.

It kind of sucks to get hit with the slushee balls when you don't know where they are coming from. Capiche?

I grew up in Middle GA..... I dont know shite about snowballs....

When you get hit with a few snowballs from sucker-punching monkeys, you'll quickly gain an understanding of what goes on behind the scenes. I'd rather somebody throw a snowball right at me, where I can see them, up front and close, rather than get pummeled by a sucker-punching monkey behind my back.

Of course not, Baby Cakes. Though I replied to you, the intention of my post was not directed at you whatsoever.

Years ago, this monkey topic came up, and it was The Hamster who came up with this great excerpt, and it still holds true today.

Social Scientists put eight monkeys in a room. In the middle of the room is a ladder, leading to a bunch of bananas hanging from a hook on the ceiling. Each time a monkey tries to climb the ladder, all the monkeys are sprayed with ice water, which makes them miserable. Soon enough, whenever a monkey attempts to climb the ladder, all of the other monkeys, not wanting to be sprayed, set upon him and beat him up. Soon, none of the eight monkeys ever attempts to climb the ladder. One of the original monkeys is then removed, and a new monkey is put in the room. Seeing the bananas and the ladder, he wonders why none of the other monkeys are doing the obvious, but, undaunted, he immediately begins to climb the ladder. All the other monkeys fall upon him and beat him silly.

He has no idea why. However, he no longer attempts to climb the ladder. A second original monkey is removed and replaced. The newcomer again attempts to climb the ladder, but all the other monkeys hammer the crap out of him. This includes the previous new monkey, who, grateful that he's not on the receiving end this time, participates in the beating because all the other monkeys are doing it. However, he has no idea why he's attacking the new monkey.

One by one, all the original monkeys are replaced. Eight new monkeys are now in the room. None of them have ever been sprayed by ice water. None of them attempt to climb the ladder. All of them will enthusiastically beat up any new monkey who tries, without having any idea why.

Jamie McWhorter is this week's monkey! Next week, who will it be? :D

The same principle holds true of bad corporate policy.

There can be a really stupid, nonsensical policy in a company - created by someone long gone, and the people around at the time have no idea why it was created - but they continue to enforce it because "it's policy".

People are sheep. :/

No, they're monkeys! :D

I know what you mean. You're right in that it holds true in a lot of scenarios, especially business when it comes to practices, policies, and customs.

I guess life is just one barrel of monkeys sometimes, especially on this forum! :p
