Guess I don't understand.

I would much rather have one of these Tasc cues instead of a new Southwest. About the same money, the Tasc just looks so classy.

My problem with most Tasc cues comes when folks put a lot of inlays in them. The examples above are exactly how I would want one.

Very classy, i'll throw up pics of what I'm using now. I've recently paired everything down to one cue., and I use one main case.

Possible Abe Rich cue with a Tad or Josswest shaft, and an extra snooker shaft. the case use is usually the ron thomas hair on cow, or the McDermott mac. I only carry my cash, some chalk and a couple small items for tip and shaft maintenance.

These were all bought at either Goodwill or on Craigslist... now I just need to find me a Tasc at a garage sale!

Love

I myself have gone full circle and now appreciate the beauty of the cue and woods instead of all the gingerbread inlays.

My Philosophy: "The Plainer...The Better". Ladies and Gentlemen...another person who has seen the light.

Balabushka, Searing, Scruggs, Cantando, Black Boar, Frey, Kikel and Southwest cues...no inlays just a few rings.

I like simple too. My cue is a 45-50 year old Titleist conversion with two original shafts and a simple leather, pocketless case made for me by a holster maker in NY. I carry my cue, case and one piece of chalk to the poolroom.

Cues like this are timeless........it's what embodies the entire nostalgia associated with pool players & the road players of a time period long gone.

Wow! Thanks for digging this thread up again. I really love these simple tascs. I personally don't care for the notched diamonds and all that.

For a minute, I had everything paired down to two cues and two cases, then I went on a god-forsaken buying spree and picked up a bunch of cues that I don't need. I generally carry a 1x1,or a 2x4. A 1x2 is best because I can take a shaft for both pool and snooker. I really would like a 1x2 that has a pouch though. I like to have a scuffer and glove on hand just in case...

I need to be reminded sometimes that it's good to get back to the basics. Cue the country music.
