I'm kinda struggling on what kind of white material is best used for deco rings. Thanks for your time.

If money was not a concern, I would have ivory. Since I haven't won the lottery. If I could have only one white material. It would be juma.

I like the fiber rings. They stay bright white and they are very inexpensive. If I wanted thicker bright white rings, try elforyn without the grain.

White fiber rings are nasty. They absorb epoxy and are not all that clean.
Black fiber at .015 thick are good but .030" and thicker are nasty as well.
Juma is clean and machines well.
For strips, ivory, camel bone and Juma get my vote unless you can find the old clean Atlas "micarta" sheets.

Thanks for your replies

Thanks for your replies. I have tried Corian stock that I picked up a while ago to practice with, worked great for practice. It cut really good and glued well but finish was real dirty. I slotted purple heart with it. I imagine the obvious suppliers are best to go with considering the JUma and Elforyn. I'll give ivory a run after I gain more experience. I'm using purple heart for the forearm and butt sleeve, yellow heart for the handle and came up with multiple schemes for deco rings, etc. thanks again for any input.

I'm pretty sure that Juma and Elforyn are almost the same thing.

Elforyn has some extra stuff and processes to make it a little higher grade and also to have the ivory swirl look to it.

Both are very good materials, in my opinion.
