I'm new here, call me ignornant

what is the lock society? I've searched the internet with the key word "billiards" and it only comes back to AZB.

A member here created the Lock Society for other members to enjoy. His forum name is Lock n Load. You can read more about Lock n Load and the Lock Society on Facebook if you have an account. Lock n Load does not post much on AzBilliards anymore and has emigrated to the Facebook pool scene, which is growing by leaps and bounds every single day. :)

Thanks man or woman. I don't have facebook. I'm old fashioned.

I guess I missed it, what was it that drove Lock away?

His daughter was murdered, and so he elected to not post here for a while. Before that murder, though, there had been a constant beat of consistent rumblings from those who wanted to demean Lock n Load for creating the Lock Society, picking it apart, criticizing every post he made when he was trying to contribute positive posts to this forum.

Sometimes the Azb pack enjoy flame threads, ridiculing others, and cyber-bulling when someone is different than they are. It's quite sad, really. I thought Lock n Load was a good AzB-er, and I enjoyed his posts.

Shame

I know you are correct JAM and that is a shame. There are many familiar names missing lately that I enjoyed reading their post. To me going to Facebook to read about Pool would be like going to a recreation center to play Pool instead of the local Poolroom.I hope the snarky group moves to Facebook and the real McCoys come back to AZ.

Jam,

Could you post and suggest some of these Facebook Pool scenes?

Thanks!!

Lock n load , LNL is a good guy , and so is some of the people he has butted heads with.

There is no reason to divide this room over who liked or disliked LNL, and LNL wouldn't be happy over any arguing that has his name in it. He is or was one of the most polite azb members.

As of the LNL society , it was something he started just to have fun and try to improve every ones game. But for the most part it was just for fun.

MMike
