I just want to alert the people of AZ that there is a web site that is selling counterfeit cues of all kinds.

I would be very careful of giving this site a credit card number

You will be buying a counterfeit cue …. Maybe .. but you will be giving your card number to a thief. Maybe not the best idea.

Let the buyer beware.

Very good to know since I have been shopping for a new cue, and joss was on my list. Thanks for info.

Great information. I notice this guy has no "contact us" link on his web page, nor does he list a phone or location.
Similarly, I noticed a new "ebayer" listing almost every production cue made for sale. When I asked him if he had a particular cue listed "in his possession" at the time of my writing, he responded that he "did not have it in hand." In other words, he has no inventory and just hopes he can find one somewhere. This tactic is not uncommon.

How can this be fraud? Just read what an Adam's cue can do for me if I buy one! LOL

Your source? It's the website itself as anyone with half a brain can see that they are blatantly ripping off all the brands featured.

I was turned onto this site myself last night by Matt Carter at Sterling Gaming. There is a cue company in China that specializes in counterfeiting Joss, McDermott, Schon, Poison and Predator cues. And as can be seen they don't mind mixing them up either as seen by the Lucasi-Poison knockoff using the Joss trademark.

Great information for our members, that website is a trip Chinese imports marked Joss, and other crap such as no contact information. I would bet this entire scam is being managed from somewhere in Asia, because some one would have to be crazy to sell those products from the USA. Well I can certainly smell the lawsuits brewing, if they can ever catch these fools!!!!!;)

Again thanks to the OP for starting this thread this is the kind of information our members need to protect themselves!!!:smile:

Apparently Google loves Chinglish. The whole site is full of paragraphs that are not designed to make sense to a real person. But the search engine spiders eat it up.

If you all as a community want to do something then figure out how you can report this fraud to Google and the other search engines as well as any internet crime places.

Voicing your outrage here on AZB will do nothing to remove them. If they stay in Google's index and come up on the front page for searches of the brand names as well as for pool cues in general then they WILL get a ton of business no matter what.

Outing them on AZB is the equivalent of putting a pebble in front of a tsunami and hoping to hold it back. Because this thread will simply be forgotten in ten minutes. It should have been on the front page anyway.

I have already sent a copy of the site by address to the FBI ( Local Office Seattle Washington) and I have outlined the obvious Copy Right infringements that are represented. Outside of that John there is not much else I can do, hopefully others will also do the same thing since they are the responsible agency for INTERNET Fraud!!:smile:

As far as your statement about a pebble, its kinda like every journey starts with a single step and why not take the first step right here to protect forum members!!!;) In my opinion it is better to do that than have the information and tell no one here, what do you think John?

Sure. But I often see these "warning" threads without any solutions. The fact is that this thread will die on the vine shortly because the person who reported it did not tell people what they can do.

For it to be a journey people need to provide a better path to connect those who want to see something done to those who can actually do something.

Maybe the person who posted the warning feels good about themselves but it isn't enough to simply point a finger.

I agree that pointing finger may not do much good without proof, however, most with half a brain who look at that website can see something is wrong with it, and he did provide a link to the site.

Was he wrong about his assumptions, I don't think so unless Joss is allowing their name be used by unknown people on Chinese production cues which I doubt Danny Jane's would allow.

Also like I said in my previous post a warning here is like taking the first step. Because maybe others who know how to report it will see this and report it like I did around two hour's ago.

In my opinion using a forum to put out information is kinda like Brain Storming a problem. You have a group a people who have a partial answer, and it allows others to join in who can add information so that a practical solution can be attained.

In my opinion anything is better than having information which can hurt others and not doing anything about it. In most cases the best way to deal with problems of this type are to expose them directly to lowest level user ( The Buyer ) this at least will give some people ( Not All ) something to consider before they make a decision. Which is better than a lack of information which can lead to some one getting burned!!!!

i tried calling dan janes of joss cues today. unfortunately i got the machine but i did leave him a message with the name of the site and whats going on. hopefully he hears and sees it and reports it. dan janes is a true gentleman and for someone to try and rip him off like that is complete bs. thanks to the op for showing this.
 
if you visit the site and click on the help link in the top right corner, you can offer feedback. they have a small form for contact us. maybe you should try that.

Actually I agree with you. One thing is that these threads are indexed pretty quickly by google so that if someone were inclined to actually google the site then they might see this thread.

But if they simply look for "pool cue" or "Joss Cues" then they will come across the site and not see this thread.
 
it might be not just those cues u guys been mentioned, it may have AC or even Josswest but I'm not 100% sure........

Not strange. Many ISPs block traffic from and to China. China itself blocks traffic from the US to some Chinese sites.

Hosting on a US server guarantees full access to all customers outside China.

I am sure that they sell the cues inside China through any number of avenues.

I don't see how registering a domain for one year makes one a scammer?

It looks like any mention of Joss has been removed from the website. Other items are missing as well. Thanks to any and all that tried to help.
