Inlays don't make balls

The shop that built this cue also packages them as well as I have ever seen.
Just like the cue with total utilitarian efficiency and intelligence:

It is also noteworthy that I was quoted 18-24 months to complete the build, and
imagine my surprise when I received a call only 11 months after order that it was
nearing completion and would ship on receipt of balance of funds:

I just opened it an hour ago:

cell phone pic does no justice to the old school

This cue is now a permanent member of my dirty dozen.

Nice player from a great cue-maker..........but inlays are more than just an adornment.

A photo is nothing more than a photo....just a image......but when framed and matted,
the photo looks entirely different than when shown in a plain silver frame......kinda boring.

We play with pool cues because we like the way the cue plays.......but having some sizzle
just makes the experience....and more importantly....the cue itself.....all the more exciting.

But the cues we choose to play with are selected for performance, not looks, at least that's
how I choose my cue to use......but it sure is satisfying when that cue is a real humdinger.

Having said the aforementioned, I'd still rather have a player cue from Pete than a big, fancy
cue from some other cue-makers whom will remain anonymous for purposes of this thread.

Gorgeous cue! I love a good simple player like that and this is a killer example! Love the wrap and veneers.

Some day I will own a Tascarella.

Great looking cue from a great cue making family. Pete & Pete Jr really build a beautiful cue, that not only looks good, but plays even better then it looks. Congrats on your new cue.

Great cue! Some makers live on esthetics because they fall short on construction. I've been fortunate enough that the ones I've worked with have all been about playability BEFORE bling. The Tascarellas are no exception and more the rule... congrats again on a great cue!

That cue is all bizzzzzzznnneeeesssss........

Low D shmoe-D............ Traditional shafts.. baby...

That is a sharp cue. Nice and simple.
On a side note: inlays may not make balls, but enough of them might get your opponent to looking at your cue instead of concentrating on their game. :)

Awesome cue!

I have two of them, and love them both. I have a plain one like yours in the gallery as well. It is a cue made for play.

Enjoy!

Pure

That is as pure as it gets a real class act of a cue, congratulations on your newest pick up!
