This subject comes up every once and a while. It's a little early this year. Expect another barrage of posts in a couple of months when everyone that signed up for subscriptions at the BCAPL Nationals don't receive their issues.
People need to do what I did,,,
Don't Renew those rags anymore and put your money into a subscription for ''Hustler''
Not sure if it's a pool mag but I'll let you guys know when I get the first copy,,,,

Best description of how things work I have ever seen.
When there is zero accountability is it a big surprise when the same people keep doing the same things ? But hey....at least they are trying.
I'm sure everyone knows the definition of insanity as opined by Albert Einstein. I guess Inside Pool Magazine stays in business because their subscribers have never heard or understand the wisdom of his words.

Lets hear more on this issues of no subscriptions being mailed. We got 50 states in the us and alot of other people that haven't stepped up yet. They are no good and liars,thiefs,and take peoples money.Bunch of bulls--t here. Do they advertise on az?Or afiliated with anyone or anyone else ?Rich.

Many people have stopped renewing their subscriptions years ago.
This deserves to be a sticky.
I don't need commentary either. But I'd appreciate not having to listen to his obnoxious chatter broken by screams of "Live, Baby, Live!" when I'm trying to enjoy a game. It's like trying to watch a match while your wife sits next to you and chatters on about a conversation she had with her mother.
Unfortunately that's an empty threat...since we'll never know who advertises because we've never seen an issue. :grin-square:
to be clear, i didnt say i like his commentary but overall, i like HIM. He doesnt do the "Live Baby Live" thing much anymore btw-It's more about the universe and the intergalactic broadcasting. If he gets too much i just turn it way down to barely audible in case something of extra interest DOES happen.
I prefer my pool commentary be without singing, and to include at least the occasional comment about the match at hand.
Like i said I dont need or want commentary for rotation games and im not trying to convert anyone. Im fully aware im pretty much alone but i like listening to flaky people now and again. I enjoy quite a bit talking and listening to those wacky new age, crystal pyramid chicks with their crackpot opinions and theories also- knowing full well they have lost their minds but i still like them and Alvin.
I have questioned before why Inside Pool is allowed to return to the BCAPL each year to pull the same hoax on the players.....let alone be associated with the Derby City/Tunica events.
I like Alvin too. What's more, I admire him. He's got a grinding job to travel the country and set up an entire video streaming system in often-less-than-ideal conditions. It's one of those jobs where nothing ever happens as planned. He probably works longer hours than anyone else at a tournament.
But during a match he should relax and recharge his batteries. Tell us who's playing, what the score is and then imbibe in his beverage of choice. Take a nap.
I also often MUTE the sound, but then I lose the sound of the table. It really mystifies me why the streamers have focused so much effort on hi-def video but completely ignored the audio: the sound of the table is what brings the video alive...making the viewer feel like he's right there.
I do not have a subscription to Inside Pool and so I am not missing anything. I am not sure how much a years subscription costs but it really isn't right to take the money and not give the magazines. Maybe there is something wrong I wonder if anyone knows of any problems they may be having that is preventing them from following through.
Another point is it's not only the people who are not getting their magazines and feeling like they got ripped off but what about the people who paid to advertise in the Magazine?? I will bet that costs more money for a year and thy are not getting what they paid for either. Well like I said I hope everyone over there is ok and this will be sorted out for everyone.

whatever problems they may have that prevent them from following through, they have had since 2005 at the latest.
