InsidePool party in nine days, can you wait??
The InsidePool party is again back and swinging. We will be looking to focus this year at its roots of truly being a place of business rather than just a place for free drinks. We are working together to unite our businesses because truly the money does get in the way sometime but it is too derisive to our businesses and livelihoods. JR and Eric have worked on their differences and are putting together this event with other help as well, because with out you there is no business. We look forward to seeing you all at this years Super Billiards Expo and InsidePool Party.
This year will be a little different from grain soaked maraschino cherries and a couple girls from the WPBA. We are going to have wristbands for entrance in to the InsidePool Party. The wristbands are a way for us to control the volume of people within room. We apologize now that not everyone can come to the party every night the wristbands are color coded for entrance. We will also need to distribute upon entrance a wristband for the age requirement of 21 years old. This restriction is from the Hotel and since they provide us so many freedoms it is a little thing to worry about. InsidePool & Jeeves will be distributing the wristbands at the show.
The InsidePool Party originally created as a way to for meet and blow off steam after a long day the Super Billiards Expo. It usually is attended by hundreds of people daily and features an assortment of food and adult beverages. "The InsidePool Party was originally created to be a haven for vendors, players and Expo guests get away from the hustle and bustle of the show. We all needed a place to recharge our batteries and get ready for what was next in our lives. Not much has changed. We still do. The party is a great way to set aside our differences, do some business, or just plain blow off some steam.” Quoted from said JR Calvert, publisher of InsidePool Magazine.
The InsidePool Party is the conglomeration of efforts by several industry members in addition to InsidePool Magazine. The staff of InsidePool Magazine and Jeeves would like to thanks those that have gave assistance to make this all possible. A sampling of those who have helped this years event Meuller’s, ACA, Al Hamdi and his staff, Billiardcue.com, Cory Barnhart, Timberly Pike, Fast_n_Loose, Spankey’s West, and Nippers.
For those of you who do not know the below is a summary of the efforts that InsidePool has contributed. They have been always a friend (strained at times and pressured to break) but always there to support. I apologize if my post of 2-26-06 was too strong, but our agreement was not finalized at that time and I was struggling to keep promises of my own. I also need to point out that without JR and InsidePool the party would have never been started or continued for all of us to enjoy and love. His support both of finances in the first 8 years and continued friendship within the sport and of the sport was and is greatly appreciated.
We are not the only group on the floor. The other group is a fine organization that rents the floor 4 to 5 times during the year. They are known for causing the majority of the complaints against the noise and other events that occur relating to the Party. The only way we can avoid this is in the future rent the entire floor for Super Billiards Expo participants. I look forward to this event every year and I would like the positives to outweigh the negatives. (By the way windows can be opened for trouble makers)
We look forward to the upcoming business that we can provide for you and friends this year and in the following years.
Thank you
Jeeves
