Feijen is more experienced both on winning tournaments, playing finals and play on tv-table. He is the player with the best average finish on the eurotour the last year, and he is my favourit to win in almost any tournament he enters.

But, I have seen Van Van do 10 Break & Run against Orcullo earlier this year, from 18 - 11 behind to turn the match around and win 23 - 19. The most impressive play I have seen in my life, I think.

But I think Feijen will bring it home to Europe, just as he did with Derby City Classic 9-ball earlier this year.

CONGRATULATIONS to Niels!

Roy, I don't see Feijen doing much gambling. A few ears ago, he traveled the country doing some small stakes gambling (by himself) and haven't seen him much since. He passed through New Orleans once and I met him.

Occasionally I see him in different parts of the U.S. and he often sweats the gambling matches but you don't see mixing it up.

Has he sworn off on gambling or simply taking a hiatus OR WHAT?
Thanks,
Joey

Nice call on this one Roy.

Now, can you give me some numbers for the next lotto draw?

I see him gambling almost everytime I meet him. But he doesn't gamble as much anymore. When he plays tournaments he is always early to bed and up before the sun on tournamentdays. It is the tournamentrecords that helps him get sponsors and the media interested, not the gambling at nights. He is a true pro.

Check his website www.nielsfeijen.nl and read about gambling with his own words. He writes about his 3 periods of gambling in the states ++.

Races to five for the biggest purse in pool still seems like a Superbowl that ends before halftime to me, but at least somebody's getting paid. ...
Not quite the largest. From the payouts in Manila last year for the 2006 WPC 9B:

1st place Ronnie Alcano $100,000.00
2nd place Ralf Souquet $40,000.00
3rd place Che-Wei Fu $20,000.00
3rd place He Wen Li $20,000.00

The WPC has been over $50k for the winner for several years. In 2000, Fong-Pang Chao won $60,000 for first.

The prize per player may be larger in the ICoC, though.

It's always been $50,000 in the ICofC. Winner take all. The other players are paid an expense fee. Probably about 5K.
