International Open

I wonder if this tourny is in trouble with only 100 players and missing $28k in the prize fund. Last year was full, no? Were the payouts 'guaranteed or guaranteed with full field? If Pat has to pony up 28k from his own pocket, it may spell trouble for this event continuing?

What say you?

What was crazy about it? It’s 2.5 hours long and with a funny camera angle, I don’t think I’m going to watch the whole thing.
After the match someone was complaining that the 9b just went straight-in on the final break. Well, not so. It was pretty obvious that it got kissed in. Great match.

might be the one where SVB was down 9-0, came back to reach the hill first and then lost.

When was the last time SVB was knocked out this early in a big tournament?

Reno, 80's live....saw Buddy Hall in his prime lose 11-0 to Grady Matthews also saw two other HOF players loose zippo.

Hill/Hill matches are quite different.

Pool godesess show up every now and then. All players are aware of Her present$ and presence.

Didn't give that much thought but I hope it doesn't go down. imo, it's the best produced tournament.

Well said. Thrill-hill is whole other world. Seen some crazy s^*t happen at double-hillage.

Shane seemed to be in a bad mood last night...maybe he and JB have a history?
Missed a long straight 9-ball at 10-9 down....could’ve played a better shot on the 8-ball..
...he was straight in on the 8 but only a foot away....9 was open...he could’ve pulled to
the end rail and up a couple feet...would’ve had the 9 in the side and been off the rail..
...he stopped on the 8 and missed the 9....cueing from too close to the long rail.
....he tried the long draw shot right after the match....got perfect.

Alex played terrific on the defending champ....Alex 11...Chang 4

Shane reminded me exactly of Earl last night, seemed to be moping around.

1.5x Speed and right arrow fast forwarding through racking, you can watch it in 30 minutes.

For thoose that bought the PPV, where can we chat? I remember back in the days we had a chat room with some guys from the accu-stats team, it was fun.

there's a link to chat inside of the purchase area but when I click it, it says "offline" and gives an error.

Mandalay Bay US Open

Yep, don't think he'll go off at 6:5/1 this year, probably 8/1. His life style is showing it's wear & tear, normal.

I always remember Rempe, he'd Smile during match play, as does Efren as did Buddy Hall and many other greats.

Moping tho................:scratchhead: From the best player on the planet....that doesn't feel anything like what Palmer or Nicklaus would do for their sport/game.

I think Shane should take a month off before the US Open....reboot. .

I'm no good at multi-tasking. I chat and i miss all the pool.

I believe it's 50K added, so the purse is $150,000. Not a bad payout and once again a great field of players. I've watched bits and pieces and Pat Fleming is doing a good job of producing this event. I like seeing "rackers" on every table and some good refs overseeing the matches (Hello Ricky Bryant!). The seating looks good as well for all the spectators. The tight Diamond tables are another plus.

9-Ball, Race to Eleven is still a good test and you will see players string racks and other players make big comebacks. This is still the most exciting way to play 9-Ball imo.

For the love of God, do not ever use Billy Gibbs ever again, he almost makes watching unbearable.

Last 4 winners side

Rematch! I think Little Ko wins again

Yes, I think so too.
Historically, eventual winner from the undefeated 4 on the winners side
I think it will be Little Ko- Kazakis final. Kazakis will take down Filler later today cos he knows his game too well
But any of these 4 can win whole thing. Watch out for the dark horse and relatively unknown Lechner
:D

Absolutely!.. Glad the WPA kinda relented and allows winner break in their events.
