Arne Mason is a leather worker who specializes in finely constructed leather cases. Not highly decorated ones, just finely made ones that reach a level of elegance rarely seen these days.

His work is inspiring to me and the reasons I share him with you today are that he also makes cue cases, or better said, I know he has made at least one. And he made a case for fly fishing tools which I think is one of the coolest cases ever and I have endeavored to make the concept into a cue case.

Arne's Fly Tools Case;
Two years ago I made one version of it called Shorty's Flycase. and didn't do a great job of it. The one you see pictured at this link is the better version of that first one.
Now I have been asked to make more of these and I think that we have come up with one of the best things I have ever done in leather. Arne Mason provided the initial inspiration and we have run with it to create the Mason model of case.
This is more than standard marketing hype. I can't tell you how excited I am about this case. It's like an envelope case on steroids to me and makes me proud to be a case maker.
So thank you Arne for the inspiration and thank you Shorty for allowing me to experiment on you.
Anyone who is interested should contact Arne and have him build you a case because I have no doubt that it's heirloom quality.
