I agree that we should block vote based on majority AZB opinion. Who do you think it should be. Sorry, only 10 options available on this poll... so I will condense. Please vote for no more than two. If both selections are in same block, sorry. I will seperate these later.

I'd like to see SVB's left hand play against SVB's right hand........ EVEN.

Shane isn't a member is he? Doesn't that rule him out?

gr. Dave

He is one of the selectable options on the IPT website. I checked all of them before posting.

Sweet! He's got my vote along with Efren.

Edit: Just checked he IS a member, 6 match wins 30 B&R's.

If the IPT voting goes like this, it will be Efren v. SVB. This could be a great match-up. If this is the case, the IPT should extend the race to something like 30 or 50 and let them bet their own cash as well. That could get interesting. I personally could care less about this if niether player is truly concerned about winning (exhibition, not gambling).

With all due respect (and as a huge Shane fan) I do not think I want to see Shane in this match. We have already been able to see a lot of Shane recently. Big table 8 ball is also not one of Shane's strongest games. Joyner absolutely dominated him in that game in their gambling matches the last couple of years at the DCC.

I think Efren will be on the majority of people's list and will be in it for sure. The only question is who will be the opponent? I think Joyner is a great choice. Or Appleton, who is supposed to be an absolute monster at 8 ball and who we don't get to see much of over here. Or maybe another Filipino, with Alcano probably being the best suited for this game that has not already been in one of these matches recently.

There are tons of great match ups that I would like to see but lets face it, Efren is almost a lock to be chosen so we really should be concentrating on who his best opponent will be.

I think you forgot one major option that should have been offered, and that is "There's no way in hell i'm taking part in this IPT debacle".

As for Shane playing in an IPT event, I dont think you'll see it. He's already said "hell no" he wouldnt play for Trudeau. I think he's doing well enough with other events and gambling that he can offered to tell Trudeau to find another monkey for his side-show.

ok i've voted for jasmin. she's the best woman player on the planet with a beatiful stroke. i'd love to see her taking part. not bad to look at either  :p

maybe against shane too!

Jasmin vs. any top male player

She's proven that her skill level is just as good as the men and her intensity is captivating. She's the next Jean Balukas in my book.
If one of the players is to be female (and I'm all for it) the the opponent HAS to be Earl Strickland or Mike Sigel. Both of them need their ego's checked a little in regards to the fact that they CAN lose to a woman.

Personally I would like to see the Strickland vs Ouschan rematch because I watched in person at an IPT event where Strickland talked crap to her and put her down relentlessly during their entire match. It was a disgusting display of sportsmanship on his part. She remained professional and as focused as possible and did not acknowledge or respond to his constant remarks in any way, but I do think that it did get to her a little bit and affected her performance. He barely pulled out the win, but I think Jasmine's pool and mental game are even better now and that she would win their rematch with the longer set. I would love to see it.

Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Shane spotting Joyner like 3 or 4 games on the wire playing 8 ball on the big table? I also seem to recall Joyner breaking and running the first 4 games or so to build a 7 nothing lead and Shane coming back to tie it up at like 14 to 14. So while yes he did lose it was a pretty big spot to give to someone who plays 8-ball like Cliff does. Having said that though...watching Cliff and Darren play might be a rather intersting match up as well...

thinking about it they should do this voting thing more often - there are so many mouth-watering match-ups i can think of!

Yes, I belive Shane gave up 4 games on the wire in a race to 21 both years. And both years Joyner could have been the one giving up that same spot and still winning by several games if I remember the final scores correctly. Personally I think the spot was way out of line and that Shane will not be giving it up again, but then again he just might because he is not afraid to make tough games. I think he does that sometimes to challenge himself more than anything. Again, I have a lot of respect for Shanes abilities and was a major fan long before the vast majority of people had ever even heard his name.

Money King Title

Why wouldn't you include the coveted title holder, Yang (Money King)? I would like to see Shane Van Boening rip the title and a little cash from Yang's hands. :D

I like that Money King title and I would like to see it in Shane's hands.

Because he is not an option. Here is the IPT list of players.

I did unwittingly omit Boyes and Appleton from the European list ... sorry guys. To those voting, please keep this in mind.

I don't disagree that spotting Cliff 4 games on the wire is probably a little much ;) My main point was that from what I recall of the final score (at least this last year) if you take away the 4 game spot, you pretty much end up with a coin flip between the two when it comes to playing 8-ball on the big table.

Of course, maybe having them play even on an IPT match might be good way to start determining which one "IS" actually better...;)

Personally though I voted for Sigel to play like Jasmin...I'd kind of like to see her stomp a mud hole in his rear! :D *heh*

Why not?

Why not have the reigning World 8-Ball Champion, Ronnie Alcano, play? Him versus Efren in a 8-ball match, or even better Rotation, would be a real treat.

Me too! I'd like to see Jasmin vs. maybe Ga Young Kim or Xiao Ting Pan but unfortunately they're not on the list. :(

Unbelievable. What a jerk.
