IPT Slow To Pay

Interesting which way this thread is going. Are these people in denial?
LOL, not at all in denial. Everyone here except for Jake is on your side. We're just making idle chit chat while we wait for the results. ;)

Does anyone know about other people getting paid? I remember seeing the pictures of players getting their cheques at the qualifiers but this wasn't obviously what happened with everyone. I hope this isn't happening with alot of players who earned money in the qualifiers, if it is it looks really, really bad on the IPT.

Thanks for your input. I will discuss this with my accountant, AFTER I have been paid. No check today!

I bid $1500 for the rights to receive that check-(expires wednesday) Let' see what the market thinks.

It seems to be an isolated case. We would have heard from other players and venders by now if it wasn't. That said: I'd be pissed too if I had to wait for my money. Johnnyt

Say what? What kind of quantum leap was that?

Actually I learned a long time ago not to get upset over something I have no control. Last I heard Jay and Deno communicated and the check is on the way. Since this is the weekend I'd give it until Wednesday at least.

Any bets that Cliff Joyner does not make the short list to fill any vacancies?

I actually don't think it is wise to air financial problems on the forum until all the regular channels have been utilized and given time to be implemented.

He's talked to both Lindsey and Deno.... a month ago. This didn't just happen last week. That is why he is upset about it.

Jay has every right to bring this to our attention. If you read the thread he was told the check was "In the mail" and he should have already gotten it.

I know Jay and he would not have brought this out to the public if he had not given sufficient time for the IPT to handle payment.

The worst part about this "Check is in the Mail' is how all entry fees must be paid in advance, no entries accepted at the door - NO EXCEPTIONS.

Everyone that has the "Because it is KT's money he can do what he wants" attitude, let's just hang on here for a second.

He has made a commitment to an entire sport. He has taken allot of money from allot of non-IPT card holders - upfront!

Even if this is an isolated case with Jay, there is absolutely no excuse for any business to operate, or let this type of thing fall through the cracks.

This is total BS and only adds to my already being P***ed about how the IPT is trying to take over a sport and is in a constant state of change regarding all promises made to the sport.

While I have not been too upset with the way the IPT has been progressing I really think that this development is really bad. The players need sponsors( not only in pool either) and this problem is one that
could have a big immpact if its persistent.

I still wonder how come so many gave Barry the benefit of the doubt and still do over money he owed and owes.

I hope the IPT is a success and that pool becomes a sport where at least the top players can make it as Pros.

Hopefully Jay will keep us up to date with the progress.

Excuse me, I don't hear anybody chiming in about how they GOT PAID either!!!! I will believe it when I see it.

It sure seems curious that there has been no comment from Deno concerning this thread. If what has been posted is indeed true, I find this to be disturbing and without reason. This certainly should be clarified by someone

Forums on the internet aren't the center of the universe. Not everyone checks them on a daily basis.

Besides, I doubt Deno or anyone affiliated with the IPT would comment on the subject here.

If there was a way to prove it, I'd go out on a limb and bet as high as I could that they know about this thread.

They know about this thread, trust me. More later.

1099s

I will be the one getting taxed on Cliff's winnings. Maybe you didn't read in my post that I had to give my social security number, among other info.

Just have your accountant write off the amount you gave Cliff as an expense. Keep track and its legit. It evens out the 1099 you will get with the amount you actually received.

I would bet a house that both Deno and KT read this forum regulary - its a free test of public opinion. You only have to listen to his recent audio message to see just how many of the issues raised in this forum where commented on.

Of course they, or at least Deno or somebody form the company, scan the forums. They would be fools not to. But I believe that they made a company decision a while back not to responod to any threads because it would just evolve into a he said she said thread in which there would be a no win situation.

That is the same thing the UPA, WPBA, etc have decided.

This does not explain why they don't get in touch with Jay thru PM or email! Excuses are only good for the guy using them! They don't do anything for anybody else.
Purdman:rolleyes:

I thought Jay said he was in contact with Deno.

But I did receive my $200 check from Discover (earned bonus) only two days after I called them and requested it. And I didn't even talk with a human. It was all done by computer. And I have no idea where that computer is located.

Anybody want to bet that Jay's check arrives today or tomorrow?

I'd guess that you'd win Jimmy.

I mean the fellow has a section in Ask The Pros, and he answers question well and in a timely maner ... good-on-ya Deno ! I don't think that these responses are written by someone from the company who scans the group.

Hiding things on the Internet, what will they think of next, eh Jimmy ?
