Just recieved this in an email. Pretty self explanatory.

Personally I think we should all band together and vote in Jasmin and Earl now at this juncture. That match up would have it all for me. Arguably the two greatest strokes in the game. Plus the battle of the sexes element makes it interesting. Whaddya all say?

Also interesting to note that Deno and KT have been following Karl and Daz's AZ appeals. :)

EDITED to show current standings too.

I agree

Your post beat mine by a minute or so. I agree that Earl and Jasmin would be fun and I also agree it is interesting that the IPT notes the effects of appealing to the pool forums.

I agree that this would be a great match. To quote my response in another thread:
"If one of the players is to be female (and I'm all for it) then the opponent HAS to be Earl Strickland or Mike Sigel. Both of them need their ego's checked a little in regards to the fact that they CAN lose to a woman.

Personally I would like to see the Strickland vs Ouschan rematch because I watched in person at an IPT event where Strickland talked crap to her and put her down relentlessly during their entire match. It was a disgusting display of sportsmanship on his part. She remained professional and as focused as possible and did not acknowledge or respond to his constant remarks in any way, but I do think that it did get to her a little bit and affected her performance. He barely pulled out the win, but I think Jasmine's pool and mental game are even better now and that she would win their rematch with the longer set. I would love to see it."

i never saw that with Earl and Jasmin and i am disappointed. Having said that, for all Earl's troubles i do believe he's a good man with a good heart, who appreciates real pool talent and a good stroke more than most. Maybe i'm being naive but I don't think it'd happen again. Jasmin's game bears a lot of resemblance to Earl's I think and I like to think he would recognise this and appreciate it. Rather like the way he played glowing tribute to Shane after the action challenge match.

Again, maybe I'm being naive because Earl is my ultimate pool hero - I hope I'm not wrong.

He sure has a weird freaking way of showing it.

As bad as I DONT want to vote for Earl (all mine has went to Reyes so far, but hey he's already playing Sigel very soon) I'm voting of Jasmin and Earl just so I can watch her rip him a new one and watch him ***** and moan CONSTANTLY like he always does.

Earl and Jasmin, yes! Lol, why do I have a feeling it'll turn just like that time he played Gerda? It looks like it's going to be more like Vilmos, and Jasmin though.

just a bump - picture has been updated to show current standings.

foldes is back in the lead now - remember we all have two votes a day now, let's keep voting for jasmin and earl!

also interesting to note that this is the first mention of the word "free" since the last match and I posted my theory on which way these matches would go. Obviously KT and his group saw that theory and made this one free when they saw the poll and the overwhelming result that people would no way in hell pay for an IPT PPV event. So everyone feel free to give me some good rep for making this match one that wont cost you anything.

I just voted for Earl and Jasmine. This is a dream match for me. They are two of my faves and part of my criteria for voting on these 8 ball races to 15 is that the players don't kill us with boredom and they have a fast pace to their game.

Anyone who can contact KT: Tell Him he needs a shotclock!!! If you want to sell a product it can't be BORING!!!

Oh and by the way someone had gone on and on about their prediction that this match would cost $$$ to get the feed. I'm sure he would have started an entire thread about his brilliant, accurate prediction had it been pay per view but now I'm sure we won't hear a peep from him.

Is press coverage of pool in Hungary really so great that Vilmos Foldes would be in the number one spot?

I have to that believe that press coverage of pool in the USA is lower than most countries.

I don't doubt that, but surely Efren would have some, if not more, coverage in Asia, thus generating more votes.

Since Shane didn't make it to round two, I'm gonna say vote for Larry Nevel and Darren Appleton. I think this would be the best match we can could between USA and Europe. They are both exciting players and would put on a great show for everyone.
