Is Mr. Wilson GOD?

I don't know who AKA Mr. Wilson is and I have no idea who Christy? is but I know Jimbo.
I am a cuemaker and he does not buy my cues BUT he is always straight forward and honest in the things he says.
I don't always agree with him but I value his opinion and I support his right to say what he thinks.
The internet is one of the last vestiges of freedom in this world and without voices like JIMBOS' we all suffer a great loss.

It's in the R.I.P. JimBo thread....

No flashbacks... he did the same thing to me earlier. He demanded that "we" find out why a forum member was upset and then locked the thread. I started a new thread in order to respond to the locked thread and clarify that the forum member had been mistaken. He inserted that post in the locked thread and deleted the thread that I started.curlyscues said:i thought i was losing it when i saw that over there earlier. flash backs![]()

When I signed up I agreed to abide by this forums rules. If I decide to break the rules, which are clearly posted, I would expect to forfeit my membership. In fact that is what I agreed to when I signed up.
I'm sure there are opinions that will differ from the owners or the moderators as well as between members, and those differences should be welcomed. However implying the management of this site are Nazis and other name calling shouldn't be tolerated. I have seen several people banned and almost all of them have acted in a very similar manner and got similar results.
Like I said, maybe I'm just simple.

Hmmmmm, let's see:
God is Love.
Love is blind.
Stevie Wonder is blind.
Therefore, Stevie Wonder is God.

When I signed up for AZ, there was no Mr. Wilson. He is a very recent phenomenon. Mike hired him to clean up the forum when the membership became too large and too unruly for Mike to moderate himself.
Dave made some right decisions and some wrong ones, but his method was inconsistent and personal...I would go so far as to call it abrasive and confrontational.
This is not his fault: he was poorly chosen for a task, and his effort is certainly commendable. In fact, he probably logs in more hours policing this forum than we could imagine. But that doesn't change the fact that he is unfit for the job.
I'll give you an example: Someone made death threats against a fellow azb member: warned. That same person continued to insinuate physical violence on more than one occasion: more warnings insued. Jimbo made a generalization about idiots posting their idiotic views: BANNED. So what if Jimbo frequently insults people over their cue designs, or their cue value assessments? The other guy THREATENED TO KILL SOMEONE WITH HIS GUN.
Where is the logic in that kind of moderation? There is none. That is why you see 8 pages of Bring Back Jimbo on the main forum. That's why previously uncontroversial members are taking a stand, right here and now, because they realize this place is being destroyed by this kind of flippant management, and these are posters (like Jimbo, like myself) who've been here since the begining.
So, I hope this clarifies things a little bit. We love this forum, we're responding to a banishment that will result in a great loss of knowledge and personality on AZB.

buddha162 said:JAM, I want to emphasize that I have NO DOUBT Mr. Wilso was an excellent member, and I have come to like him as a person even while I disagree with his moderating style. I also recognize the hard, thankless work it is being a moderator on this forum. As you may remember, Dave and I (and many others) had a rough start...and I wish it never came to this but banning someone with such a long and rich history as Jimbo will have its consequences...thus the 10 page thread pleading on Jimbo's behalf.
I have no idea what transpired to keep you and Keith from AZB, but I am sorry to hear it happened.

Something must be amiss considering how many people, many of whom have argued ridiculously with JimBo have immediately come to his defense. It's not that simple.Like I said, maybe I'm just simple.
