For not putting a location in the Avitar . Most people do put there location . I can see no reason for not putting a location .

What has happened after a deal is made , all of a sudden , 'O' I live in a different country " Which is wonderful , I love how small the world has gotten , with Al Gores internet .

What I do not like is quoteing a price and then having to change because of the cost of shipping .

I think everyone should at least have the Country they are from , in The Avitar .

Normally, I would agree with you, Jim, but the last thing I want is my ex's finding out where the hell I am.

I agree, but always try to quote prices "shipped for the us, overseas extra".

Sorry to hear of your recent shipping woes to China. Gotta be a royal pita. :(

IMHO most of the folks that live in the mountains of Colorado like myself don't want to be found.
I am content now because no one has a clue where I live...not even a general idea. Thats the good thing about the Rockies just west of Denver.

About 100 miles.

:thumbup:Jon I never had a problem with you . But instead of shipping any more cues or stuff to you , I want to hand deliver . Thanks Bud . Jim

I always ask if the seller is willing to ship to Canada while inquiring about something. If someone is trying to make a deal and doesn't mention that they aren't in the US right off the bat then i'd feel that person is trying to mislead right from the start of communication.

Like you , there are a lot of People that do that , but there are some that I think are close at hand , after the j/ps are made and ready to ship , I find out , O'sh-- there THERE . I am just to Trusting , I get my shorts taken off to often , Tough getting Old . Jim

Good guys finish last Jim and you are indeed one of the good guys sir :)

I guess the safest thing you can do for yourself is add an extra question to your list along with the "what type of JP's? what type of pin? and so on" you'll have to add a "where the **** are you located?" question...lol

Good idea. I put mine up.

Thank you , I think everyone that is not ashamed of where they live should have there location , at least what country they are in . I have nothing against any country , but to build something only to find the cost of the shipping is more than the product is rediculas . Jim

Does your keyboard have a "random capitalize" feature?

Any intelligent customer understands shipping costs change based on whether
they live 5 minutes away, or across the planet.
I don't see why you'd give them a guesstimate shipping-included price when you have no idea
where they live. Obviously that's a recipe for disaster.

Just put in your sig, in big bold letters: interested customers, please tell me your city & country
so I can give accurate shipping estimates.

You can wait for all of AZbilliards to update their profile info, that will probably happen right after
they do their taxes early and fill out the warranty card on their new blender :)

Jim, I doubt that this has anything to do with AZB posters, but anyone who has ever had their identity stolen or bank accounts compromised are VERY careful in the future of making their lives public. For privacy purposes, they simply choose not to give out information about their lives.

Then there are those who have yet to be the victim of identity theft who choose to keep their lives private as a matter of preventative maintenance.

If a customer calls you by phone, you do not immediately know where in the world he/she is from, right? What's the difference with an AZB member?

Let them keep their lives private if that's what they choose to do.
