Thanks, Bob. May I ask some more tips in executing the shot?
Should I elevate the cue a little? Will some draw help? Should I use a jabbing
stroke or a firm but constrained follow-through?
I've seen something similar happen by accident in the past when I'm trying to hit hard with heavy inside spin, on a very full hit.
On paper it doesn't look very possible and I have a hard time doing it on purpose.
I wouldn't believe it if I hadn't done it.

Nice video. With some sets of balls, it is hard to do the the shot when the cue ball is that far from the object ball. It looks like you could have hit the 3 a lot fuller and still moved the CB to the left.Here's a short video of this shot. The 8-ball runs into the 3-ball, so it clearly moves to the left. The CB also moves to the left, and actually touches the rail.
