Is this shot possible?

Challenge shot. Can you execute this shot and catch a 5th rail up table? If you can please post a video. I've only barely gotten to the 4th rail once out of dozens of tries. Very curious!

I'm lost. Did you mean to post 3 pictures? Only the middle one shows on my computer, and I don't understand the shot from that sketch.

The cue ball and object ball are the red circles. The object ball is near the pocket. The cue ball hits in the object ball, goes to the end cushion to the left, arcs out and to the long rail at the top, spins with a lot of left side spin back to the end rail to the left and then to the long rail at the bottom.

The question is whether the cue ball can be driven as far as the fifth cushion. I think it depends on the conditions.

Sorry Nick, phone screenshot. Tried to illustrate with my finger painting skills, pocket ball, short rail, long rail, short rail, long rail, then up table to touch a 5th rail. Need a ton of top left and a good stroke.

Why would you want to do this? Just for the challenge?

I can think of much better/easier ways to get down table.

It does, but ill give you any conditions you want.

That's the only thing I could come up with when I looked at it, but I thought to myself, no way is that the shot. ha ha.

For some reason, the rails on my GC are super bouncy tonight, like a Diamond bounce. Maybe good conditions to try your shot. But too late to pound the balls, it will wake the neighbors.

Might need a whole bunch of space heaters under the table too lol

Sure, install some simonis billiard cloth, then use a 61.5mm cue ball...thats what it takes to make the shot on a billiards table.

Only a spaceship can perform those maneuvers!

This is your basic reverse intake side-vacuum suck shot. Mike Massey, Jayson Shaw and I are the only 3 in the world that can execute this.

What made you interested in mastering this shot on
a pool table? It's a pretty standard 3 cushion billiard maneuver.
Are you trying to make a ball hanging in the corner pocket up table on the same stroke?
Will the cue ball be dancing its way around wine glasses or something???

Many of us artistic pool guys have the stroke for that shot.

Only Massey, shaw, and you ehh? Care to post a video of you doing it?

I will try this shot at league this week and post a video of it.

In certain conditions, it might happen!

New clothes > less speed lost of CB in process
Old Cushion > Enhance the spinning, and bumper effect on the CB
Well trimed tip
AC is on
Power stroke with perfect follow through.

But I won't try this anyway. Seems never have a chance to use it in my game.

I never even thought about the new clothes making a difference. Im going shopping for new jeans and a shirt after work then trying this shot again. I was only about a foot away from the 5th rail so I am sure this will put me over the top now!!!:idea2::idea2::idea2:

I would add Larry Nevel to the list of people armed with this stroke if we're using a standard cue ball.
